Ok I'm getting really confused by now. Do you mean the channel I was trying to watch only had teletext subtitles? I might be wrong, but I thought the digital-tv channels from the provider I'm using (ComHem) were all closed caption subtitles (unless they are in the image itself). Some of them, as far as I knew, do have teletext subtitles however.

When I use my set top box I'm pretty sure it's not teletext subs I'm seeing, because those look a lot different.

The following channels use teletext subtitles in the Comhem network:
    - Canal+ *.*
    - Viasat History
    - Probably more Viasat channels(i.e TV1000 etc).

    Regarding teletext subtitles:

I am really busy currently and have very little time to work on this right now. Therefore, before i proceed with anything at all, i would like to know with ~99.99% certainty whether or not the 'old' teletext implementation is now stable or whether or not it still has stability issues. So please, how many are using the tsreader with the teletext pin enabled and is it working or not?

Haven't had that much time testing it yet, but from the little testing I did it seems to work (although others might beg to differ).
The only thing I would have to comment on is the actual rendering of the text (i.e not centered at bottom of screen, line space too big, font too skinny). The usual white text on black banner subtitle display would probably be preferable as well.

That will be easy to change later on, right now my concern is only with correct timing and stability.

Interesting, seems the old code also has timing problems with the two problematic samples i was talking about earlier.

Is there anyone here that can watch YLE and are using the old teletext code? How is the timing?

Last time when I did test enabling the teletext pin in TsReader it was kausing random crashes when seeking (both live and .recorded tv) or changing channels :(

I'm only using DVB-T subtitles, so it's not a big issue for me.

I'm using teletext subtitles, it's stable. Only problems I encounter is when I switch channels. Sometimes Mediaportal hangs for almost a minute, I'll try a later SVN before logging a bug report(using 31/10 right now)
