here's what I had to do for my setup (One Fusion HDTV DVB-T1, One Fusion HDTV Hybrid), but of course this will be different for others because the filter names get a 1 or 2 after them depending on the card they are for.

So it looks like most of us will need to modify our CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file anyway.

    Hope that helps,

    Dvico fusion HDTV plus

Thankyou. I also have a Dvico fusion HDTV plus card with 3.6 drivers and cannot get the card recognized. I am new to MediaPortal and I don't understand the configuration process. I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. I am happy to read up on the details though am not sure where to look.

Where does the above xml configuration file 'definitions[1].txt get 'plugged in'

Is anyone using the USB model? I can't get media portal to detect it when using 3.6 or 3.5 drivers. Only works for 3.41 for me. Not very happy as the channels take to long to change. If someone could get the Dvico USB2 to work in MP using 3.60 drivers, that'll be awesome.

Has anyone been able to modify the capture card definitions file to get this to work with the new Dvico drivers for the DVB-T Plus? I've spent a couple of hours fiddling with this file but with no luck.

    Nope No go

I Have not being able to get the Plus to work with 3.60 drivers at all with MP.
Install the 3.50 works fine but they wont work with the dual 4.

I install the plus with 3.50 install program but do not ad second drivers.
Then I unzip the 3.6 program but only use the drivers for my dual4 card.

Two cards using two different drivers but the 3.5 software works real good for me.That of course is with TV2 engine.

If you use the TV Server beta then the 3.6 drivers are picked up with no problems for both plus and dual 4.

    Hope this helps

dvico 3.6 drivers and DVB-T Plus

I have managed to get MediaPortal to recognize my DVB-T Plus with the following
CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file (copy to your MediaPortal directory)

I basically modified a DVB-T Pro file by changing the defititions found in the DVB-T Plus driver information found under system / device manager/ DVB-T driver properties / details

I am certainly no expert. This came about by playing around rather than understanding. However it works with my DVT-T Plus / MediaPortal

I am using 3.62.01 of the DViCO drivers, with MP 0.2.2 release.

The definitions.txt file that was posted previously in this thread didn't appear to have any positive impact.

I am still unable to detect any of the tuners.

Has something changed between 3.60 and 3.62?

Are there any advantages in using the MCE release of the drivers?

For what it is worth all I did was to modify a posted CaptureCardDrfinitions.xml for a DVB-T pro. I changed the devid section from what it was to devid="ven_14f1&dev_8800&subsys_db1018ac&rev_05. I got this from looking at the installed device driver for my DVD-T plus on my computer under device manager then selecting properties of the driver. Look under the tab details and you will find a string that looks similar to ven_14f1&dev_8800&subsys_db1018ac&rev_05. if it is different try replacing the devid section with the new string. I stress I don't really know what the string is for. It seems to me though that it needs to match the string on your driver.
