I just installed MP 2.3 and moved the 2.2 Capturecarddefinitions file over to the new install and it works. My Dvico fusion Dual digital works with 2.3 with drivers 3.60

Reason for the install of latest version was a corrupt file somewhere related to the scheduling in 2.2. Every time you try to bring up the menu for TV channels and what is on MP would hang. It ran so well for about 3 months but just last week the problem surfaced.

However in saying that the definitions file works with the new 2.3, I just had an error that it couldnt find the filter for the Card etc etc... However on a reboot it is all fine again. Cant work that one out.

Still have the same problem of not being able to select FFDshow Video Codec. It didnt show up in 2.2 and 2.3. FFdshow audio codec is fine. Post processing option doesnt solve it either.

Has anyone mananged to find a easy solution to this problem, I have have tried every thing in this thread but still no go :(

I can get the PCI part of 'Dvico dual digital' to be seen but it then keep coming up the 'Unable to create graph for this device' and nothing at all for the USB part.

I don't want to sound like a smart-arse but using the new TV Server is probably the easiest work-around.

yep.

I think I said that before in this thread, but don't really feel like reading back.

I did stop using this card a few months ago though. The card sucks and I think has an intermittent faul (USB device not recognised erro in Windows).

The card and its drivers sure do have issues. Its running fine at the moment. I put in a new PSU and maybe just maybe its fixed a few issues. Also using purevideo 7.2 seems to have stopped stalling on Ch 10 and 9. Dvicos codec sucks especially the latest with drivers 3.62.

Anyway the card has never been found by MCE (just reports heaps of errors) so thank god for Mediaportal.

yeah you do sound like a smart-arse, but since it was such a brillant idea you should wear that title with pride :)

worked first time, I will admit I am not using 3.62 drives (using 3.50) and time shifting is jumpy which is not a major problem, and some channel get a weaker signal strength then I do then using fusion player, but think more of a problem with the internal antenna I using (waiting for the land lord to put in a new external antenna could be waiting for ever )

thanks for the work around

I had a lot of problems with my dvico card (albeit a lite). The TV was jumpy with MediaPortal and the machine restarted occasionally. Worked fine with the FusionHDTV software though.

Turned out to be an issue with IRQs which was fixed by changing Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC to Standard PC according to this faq:
http://www.fusionhdtv.co.kr/ENG/Support/Default.aspx?act=RD&id=196&pg=1

Not sure if its relevant to you but there it is anyway.

trying my luck with DVICO USB 3.62

Hi, I've read through this thread, tried editing the CaptureCardDefinition file and in a wave of frustration I'm turning to the gurus:

I have the DVICO USB version running the 3.62 drivers. Works fine in the HDTV application but not recognised in MP.
Device manager thinks it is instance id: USB\VID_0FE9&PID_DB10\00000100
and calls it a: FusionHDTV USB, AVStream Capture (DVB-T2)

Would that make the CaptureCardDefinition entry:
<capturecard commercialname="Dvico FusionHDTV DVB-T USB2" capturename="FusionHDTV USB, AVStream Capture (DVB-T2)" devid="vid_0fe9&pid_db10">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"/>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="3" audio="4" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="2"/>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="Bluebird, BDA Tuner" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="capture" name="FusionHDTV USB, AVStream Capture (DVB-T2)" checkdevice="true"/>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"/>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

(have also tried randomly changing the BlueBird,DBA Tuner line but still nothing happened and continues to happen) - any help appreciated.
Cheers.:confused:

**FIXED/UPDATED** and the answer was:
<capturecard commercialname="Dvico FusionHDTV DVB-T USB2" capturename="Bluebird, WDM TsCapture1" devid="vid_0fe9&pid_db10">
..
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="Bluebird, BDA Tuner1" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="capture" name="Bluebird, WDM TsCapture1" checkdevice="false"/>
</filters>
..

It was easier for me.

Installed MP 0.2.3.0 and found a Dvico FusionHDTV... (3.60+) entry in the stock definitions. I made a copy of it, ran GraphEdit to confirm the filter name and device ID, changed them to match, and network provider (I'm in ATSC territory) and voila - HDTV despite heavy stutter. :D

I am using 3.62 Dvico software, the whole thing.

We're making progress - Congrats to the MP team!
