I must admit that I like the original version more, it's more cleaned up than yours. Just one thing: Your weather icons are very small, mine are way larger... Maybe an MP bug with scaling the images? Using 720x576 here.

For the sake of consistency and usability, ou should change the white transparencies behind the days of the week, as these look as though they are buttons - everywhere else in the skin these are what unfocussed buttons look like.
