I have the following question/nice to have:
Is it possible to setup the plugin to switch to "Static color" when no content is active = MediaPortal menu?
Is it possible to toggle Static Color through the menu?

could someone please modify the attached core.dll it is from the custom data grabber thread, the files on this thread cause the epg to freeze.

You need the source of it, it's not possible with a binary file

The source code. I'm no expert and I doubt if anyone will do it for you. I think you have better luck in the german thread.
