    Hi Ambilight Team ;)
French dealer MediaHD , specialist XBMC, lent me a model (Adafruit + Teensy) ( not still received )
    Available Package: 25 - 50 - 75 - 100 - 125 - 150 LED (more info in French Forum )
Package for test : 50 LED

    LED : Strip 25 LED WS2801 http://www.adafruit.com/products/322 | https://www.adafruit.com/products/461

    Code:
    	12mm diameter (0.45") 75mm deep (1.5")
    	88mm / 3.5" apart on the strand
    	25 pieces per strand
New! These pixels use a WS2801 chip for full 24 bit color
5V power, 60mA maximum per pixel (LED on full white)
    	2-pin SPI-like protocol
WS2801 Datasheet for the chip inside each pixel
    	Brightness: Red = 3.3 Lumens/300 mcd, Green = 10 Lumens/1000 mcd, Blue = 2.7 Lumens/300 mcd (mcd calculation based on full 120 degree beam)

    Board : Teensy (i think model V2 ) http://pjrc.com/teensy/index.html

on the french installation site (http://www.mediahd.fr/content/18-installation-ambitv-pour-windows) they use Prismatik as the controller software under windows with the adalight protocol. To my knowledge adalight is currently not implemented in atmowin.
So it would not work through atmowin or the atmowin plugin unless someone implements it (shouldn't be too hard).
But since Prismatik can "screen caputre" on it's own (at least i guess it does), you still can use it. But this needs more cpu power.

Would be interesting if this screen capture method they use (with processing) works without problems while AERO is enabled...AtmoWin doesnt work well without the MP Plugin because AERO will be switched off automatically once AtmoWin has started.

You don't loose, avantage on playing video ?
Please be aware that disabling AERO under Vista will introduce tearing. MediaPortal's V-sync is managed by the AERO and with AERO disabled it is not possible to "snap" frame presentation to the v-sync (in theory it would be possible, but would require lot of ugly code in dshowhelper.dll).
