New Skin Idea, Pro looking (4 Viewers)

Kurdt, if u for some reason has to run MP on your computer screen, I would guess 4:3 shoult be the right size... but of course, 16:9 is most used for TV...
When such a nice skin is developed, it should be both 4:3 and 16:9...

Ya, but how many really uses computer monitor for Media Portal? If somebody uses monitor, I think we don't need to lag behind because of couple guys? They can use all skins what comes with MP.

Sorry to say, but I use a computer LCD monitor

There are good reasons to use a computer LCD:

1. Better resolution then TV LCDs.
2. Cheaper then TV LCDs for the same size/resolution.
3. Don't need/use TV speakers, tunner, etc (suround sound, MP)

Ya, well, LCD TV's are usually something around 1280x720, 17-19" LCD monitors are 1280x1024. +20" are 1600x1200, but they are more expensive and cost about same than my 27" LCD TV. And 19" vs. 27".. heheh. But everyone should use MP as they see fit...

Coming togheter

Mein design elements like home screen are now 95%
finished.

I'm gonna finish this in 4:3 format firstly. Then i prolly
release all designs as PSD files so peaople can customize things to their own likeings

I have alotta more gfx to work on and i gonna post osd shots next

theboxhead, you are clearly a very talentet graphics artist. Are you a professional?
I love the overall minimalistic look and the new font is much better!
The composition is very well balanced and harmonic!

Just watch out so you don't add to much to your beautiful design that makes it to cluttery!!

I actually personally liked it better without the grey fields on top and bottom and maybe the words media portal don't really have to be there?

I've done graphics design myself and I now how easy it is to just keep adding elements and lose track of the original minimalistic look and idea. I'm not saying you have - only that I really liked the "all black" better.

Remember - less is more!

I'm only saying this because this looks like the best skin so far for MP and I just want it to finish of as beautiful as possible.

problems

Okay done alotta gfx work today.

But im having mad problems placing the gfx rigt.

Cant get music and video overlay to work, they just start up in fullscreen
when i play items

So if i soon cant figure out how the hell these things work this skin might never come out

If i figure things out i post new screens

Okay then im back on track

Using alotta time fidling round with xml files. the gfx part is the quick part !
This is actually my ever first skin ever so im not used to this
xml build up but im learning on my way.

I need to change alott more to make this skin smoooth, so this screens have some issues as you can see
