Hi it simply doesn't work cause you have an * in your series names. TheTVDB then returns all series which have "text" after your seriesname.

"I think its because I have my EPG setup to set new episodes to have an * in the name then I use TVWishlist to schedule to record only New Episodes. For a Dumb Dumb like me, how do I tell this to treat the * as though it werent there? "

So, is there a way to have episodescanner ignore the single *?

No there is no way - Episodesanner only supports substitutions on episodes but not on seriesnames. Sorry.

Hmm do you possibly have any ideas for me? I am not a programmer and a noob at this, I use zap2itxml which has a command switch that adds an * if the series is a new episode. Then I use tvwishlist to pick only the new episodes. Then I had planned to use your tool since my shows do not get named properly.

no not at the moment. You can just switch the * mark off. But my tool relies on the naming - so the naming has to be fine. It only adds the series- and episodenumber.

Ok turned off the marking * of shows. Attached is debug. Seems like it thinks the * is still on? I have rerun the Grabber and imported new data...

I am thinking the old stuff is in the DB and for some reason has not been purged?

I guess since your system description shows you are using 1.2.0.0 svn, can I safley assume that the epsiode scanner works fine with MP 1.2.0.0 beta? I now it is not a real plugin, but it writes to the DB, so changes in its structure should affect you.

It works fine with 1.2.0.0 beta - i will also post a new version of the episodescanner in a few minutes.

1st post updated to new version - just replace the whole directory and readd your old config file.
