I think you could add regular expressions to delete all strings that look like "(xyz)". Would that fit your needs? For example '\(*\)' => ''. I did not test this, but I think the regular expression would delete (1) as well as (123), (abc) or whatever... I hope this helps you...

Tried this but didn't work. It crashes the program.

I updated from 4tr 1.7 to Argus 2.01 now the episodescanner doesn't work anymore, anyone knows the problem? Which database I have to use? The old fortherecord or is there a new Argus Database?

2) When I run the tool with scheduled series (Heroes, Battlestar Galactica), I get an "unknown encoding" error:

i have the same Problem with "German Umlaute". But i am running the Scanner on WHS2011. (German too)
Downloaded latest Version...

Any Hints?

Uploaded Log file. It stops with an tvdb error...

EDIT 3:
Please the attached Screenshot. It shows the Umlauterror.
Also the Scanner tells that it found the show but not the Episode. (for Example "Fünf vor Zwölf"), but it is
listet on fernsehserien.de...

Do you guys know, if its skin dependant if series and episodenumbers are shown in GUI? Since 1.3 Beta and Titan Skin I don't see the info's anymore but its in the DB.

I have still some (other) Problems with Episodescanner but i can see the Episode Number on my EPG. (1.3beta with Titan Extended)

By the way @Brudertac, I have these weird Umlaut-Symbols too, but its working here. But only on wunschliste.de. Neither on fernsehserien nor tvdb is working for me here. Maybe try wunschliste?

Hm, i have enabled all 3 Sources. So you use only Wunschliste or all 3?

It does not found Doctor Who on Wunschliste. But if you use a Browser it is there... (and the Episode too)
Same for Fernsehserien.de
