    Hi,
Theres another thread like this which also had it working with other codecs.
& whats make this work is a bug which got fixed & then only up to specs codecs like PDVD will work, before the h264 stream was "faked" as a mpeg2 video & therefore codecs which could internally switch & decode h264 video would work.
MPC h264 codecs has never worked on my htpc which has a nvidia card & on laptop which has a ati graphic only plays some movie @ top & grey/green the rest so not working here, but with fake mpeg2 video set ffdshow worked fine here....
About BBC HD, if you use the sub option this would in some cases cause crash & it's fixed in latest SVN(if you use SD subs this got broken by that fix & i have attached a core.dll to a reply on that post) else up logs when you have time & i'll have a look...

    Regards
    Roy

    Hi

What do you mean by sub? Just a reminder that BBC HD seems ok, but not Irish DVB-T MPEG4 channels (in MP 1.0 - RC3 is OK for both with PDVD8)

    Hi,
    Sub = subtitles.
Can you upload a small sample(15 - 20 mb) of the Irish DVB-T MPEG4 ts file?

Btw, i use PDVD for mpeg2 too & ffdshow(latest tryout from clsid) for audio on all channels.

    Regards
    Roy

    Hi,
Just something, did you scan for dvb-t on install of 1.0 or was it a import(see some messages in log "PROBLEM : descriptor lengths don't match 3 10"), if you didn't try a re scan & see.

    Hi Roy

I will do that this afternoon when I get to the PC. Do you want the distorted sample using MP 1.0 & MP decoder or a working sample using RC3 & PDVD8 ?

    I haven't been using sub.

By the way, I use AC3 filter in RC3 and all OK. This because I prefer AC3 audio on BBC HD.

    Thanks

I discovered that DVB-T MPEG4 channels can be recorded if I schedule them and once recording is running, I can "play from live" and so watch the channels. But still I cannot just watch these channels without hanging the PC. How is recording different to just watching? Attached are latest logs which cover the period just before recording started and then I closed MP after a few minutes to collect logs.
