I have the exact same issue as Alex after upgrading to 1.4. No media playing: it does not matter if I use bass player of Wasapi.

For me it only happens on certain music files, some files I get lyrics as expected. others it says no music playing.

• Are the files stored locally or on the network?
• Have you tried updating your music database (from MediaPortal configuration)?
• Do you see the artist/title in now playing?

Files are stored on the network and I can see artist and title information. I will do further testing with files and update my music database.

Edit: I deleted old database and created a new one and now it works. Thanks

I updated to 1.5 final.
I deleted both music and lyrics db and recreated them
Still get the message 'No media playing'
