On latest SVN I get mini channel change OSD on the lower-left section of the screen:

    1) ch. up
    2) ch. down
    3) previous ch. (key "0")

    I dont see any problems.

Also 1xF9 gives me current channel info, description etc.
2xF9 gives med the context menu.

Switched to latest SVN 16589 (on both MP and TVE, ofcourse.)

    Same problem, no OSD.

To help som more (I hope..), I installed SVN 16552 (MP +TVE3)

OSD vorks perfect on this SVN.

Ok, I'll install some more SVN's, MP and TVE3, to try and find tha bad guy..;)

    Update:
    SVN 16567, No OSD.
    SVN 16563, No OSD.
    SVN 16553, OSD Works..!

Ok, let's mix some TVE3 SVN's with MP SVN 16553 then..:)
    MP SVN 16553 + TVE3 SVN 16589. No OSD.
    MP SVN 16553 + TVE3 SVN 16563. No OSD.
    MP SVN 16553 + TVE3 SVN 16559. OSD Works..!
    MP SVN 16553 + TVE3 SVN 16556. OSD Works..!

    and..

    MP SVN 16589 + TVE3 SVN 16556. OSD Works..!

So to conclude, TVE3 SVN 16559 and earlier works with all OSD features. Newer versions don't.

Something happened with TVE3 SVN 16563 and up.

Hope this can help developers..these hours spent on this sunday didn't help my relationship though..she just slammed the door and left.."keep havin fun with your computer.."

    :) :(

I had everything as in my original post BUT uninstalled the tve-plugin and installed the SVN 16552 version of the plugin instead.

Yes, and you can go up to SVN 16559 and it still will work. But any newer TVE3 SVN than that, something is broken.

    Maybe gibman can comment..:)..?

As I said I am not away of any OSD popping up on channel channel except when u use channel up/down.
Is this the one u are missing ?

I've used MP+tv client since day one. And I can't see anything missing OSD related.
Also I usually change channel by the mini channel list (enter).
Can u give me some screenshots of the OSD that is missing ?

Did u try and use keyboard to change channel etc. instead of remote ? just to leave out the remote for now.

Thats why you don't get the fancy OSD..;)

    Yes. Like this:

Also, "Y" on the keyboard should give you this:

Arrow left/right should give you this:

And "A" for cycling through Audiotracks should present this:

"L" should also give you the choice of different subtitles. Looks almost as above, bit I did'nt take a shot of it.

Like I wrote earlier, in TVE3 SVN 16559 and earlier, this works. Not in newer versions.

Yes. Twice. Re-formatted my harddrive and went from there..

So you get all these OSD's using the latest builds of both MP and TVE3..? Strange..
Is there ANYTHING changed between TVE3 SVN 16559 and 16563 that can be blamed for this..? That's where it started misbehaving on my system..

Can u give me some screenshots of the OSD that is missing ?

    BTW, that's a funny question..;)

I can confirm too that the OSD behavior is realy changed. Also, when pressing a digit to change channel (In my case, pressing 4 gives me RTL 4) used to give me OSD. When skipping in time back and forward it doesn't always give me the timeshift bar on top of the screen.

I use XFace skin, maybe something has to do with that, I still didn't try 2blue's skin. I'll try it tonight. Maybe the others can post what skin they are using?

Also, sometimes when pressing the back button on my remote (in fullscreen) doesn't put me back in TV-plugin screen with preview, sometimes I go back to main menu or my music (Maybe I listened to music before went to TV, i'm not sure)

Are the others having same behaviour?

    Try an play with an older version of ;

    plugins/windows/WindowPlugins.dll

I mean, try latest SVN of MP+tvplugin, then downgrade the above DLL to something like 16559 and 16663.

U get this DLL from installing MP.
