Hi

After upgrading to MP 1.18.0:
- If I play a recorded TV program, I get sound OK
- However if I stop, and then later resume playing the TV recording, there is no sound.

- If I turn my Receiver and TV off and then back on, I can resume play fine - with sound.

I didn't have this problem with the previous version of MP on the same system.
Also: I recently updated my Motherboard and CPU, but the problem existed both before and after the hardware upgrade.

Its consistent and reproducable. See log files attached

Thanks to anyone who can help

    From which version?

    When I look at the log files the first thing that stands out to me is that you're using the MediaPortal Audio Renderer for TV content... which is not recommended and known to be problematic. As it says in the wiki:
    TV Codecs
    Tip MediaPortal Audio Renderer is often recommended for smooth video playback. However, it may not work with your TV provider(s). If you have TV playback problems (pauses, unsynchronised video/audio, no audio at all) when using the MediaPortal Audio Renderer, try another option (eg. DirectSound).

    If you read the MPAR log file you'll see:
    03-12-2017 12:06:36.941 [ 634] WASAPIRenderFilter::CreateAudioClient - audio client in use, trying again - loopCount: 20
    03-12-2017 12:06:36.992 [ 7bc] WASAPIRenderFilter::confused:tartAudioClient
    03-12-2017 12:06:36.992 [ 7bc] start failed (0x88890001)

    ...so to me it seems obvious that the problem stems from there.

Hey thanks so much for the quick reply.

    This totally solved my problem, and MP is also much more responsive now.

    Many Thanks
    I really appreciate it !
