Have attached logs of tests using multiple dvb cards and what happends when starting a recording (press R) from a network client.

To reproduce:

1) Watch FTA channel from network client
2) Press R to record channel
-- TV continues to timeshift and on server recording thread begins

Next, change channel to channel not on same transponder, channel changes OK
or change channel to channel on same transponder, error message in client (Unknown error) and return to EPG page.

Logs attached
Damn I though it was fixed...

Still can't play a current recording file.

MyTV->Recorded TV: The current recorded file is not in the list.
Videos: file exception, because the file is used by another process?

How could you view a still recording file?

tried this on latest SVN is the same for my setup...a work around is to add the recoding folder(s) to My Videos, you can watch it from there and does not seem to affect the recording...not sure how support that is though!

Cheers

This 'work around' did not work for me :-(

does not work me now either...rev 13007 of MP and Tve3, when I tried this I was recording BBC HD and that records as a .ts file, ignoring the record as .mpg setting.

To test I just set a non HD channel recording on the Sat card, and could not then view it via My Videos. Then setup the same test with an HD channel and it work fine.

In playing around I did notice that if you go to the tv guide, select the recording entry you get the option to play from live point or beginning...

An addition to the work around would be to configure recordings as .ts not .mpg

I just installed the latest svn (13007) and make my above explained modification on scheduler.cs.
I exchange the current TvService.exe with my new compiled one.

At the moment it's for me the best solution.
Now I can connect with the TS-stream.

I hope frodo or some other developer will make it possible to playback a current recording mpeg file with the internal player.

I attached the modified TvService, so you can test it also.

Bit drastic that, something got lost in translation maybe :)

You could have just set the card to record in .ts format from
TVsetup->recording->recording folders.

Well I assum the setting has an effect on everything but recordings in HD format.

Your are right.
If I set recordings as ts-files, I can view current recording files with the internal
Player of MP (via My Video). But not with MyTV/RecordedTV.
