no tv channels!!! (1 Viewer)

I just installed media portal,it looks pretty good and i love all the plugins:) I am using a hauppauge 150MCE tv card,but i cannot setup channels or see tv at all,:eek:i know im doing something wrong.Please Help!!!:D

ya i tried to but nothing happens,i am using sageTV but i would really like to get MP up and running.In case i forgot to mention it i'm using a hauppauge 150MCE .Thanks for responding.

    Generally speaking for us to help you
    we need as many information as possible.

    What version of MP do you use ? (MP and TvServer?)
    Did you have a look at the wiki ?

    Also it is always good to uninstall any application that
    might block your tv card. I don't know how SageTV handles tv cards
    but I would advise you to uninstall it for now.

    Same Issue

    Hi,
    I am having the same issue - i.e - I have SageTV, which works, but is buggy, so would like to use MediaPortal. I installed, but in Configuration, don't know where to scan for channels. I referred to the wiki, but it's not too helpful. The wiki says "Add/Edit Capture Cards", but I do not see that on my screen at all. Do I first need to start up the server or something? I opted for MySQL as my server, but I don't know if it still needs configuration. What is the default password for the server, so that I can test the connection?

    Also, is there a step-by-step config guide somewhere for n00bs like me? All i wanna do is watch TV from my Hauppauge HVR-1600 running Windows XP sp3. Please someone help - if you need more info, I will gratefully provide.
