I understand you can't support it tourettes but there are other people not using it that have exactly the same issues. surely this is not a mdapi issue but a tuning issue. I can never scan all transponders but in mytheatre they work perfect? maybe when tuning to a transponder it is not giving it enough time before it moves on to the next?
MP is free and it's a great software in fact There are quite a few people developing code and driving it further. (i.e. MP 2 is a great vision, actually more then just a vision)
I have been using MP for quite a while. Yes, I had a few issues every once and a while but it is really worth it to spend some time with it.
This issue here is different then anything I saw before. The thread was created 3 month ago. More and more user were reporting similar issues with TVE. Since I am using MP for my main TV as many other users I can not use it anymore and I believe that's the situation for many of us because of this issue.
So, what can we do to prove this is a bug and to get attention from development? The issue does not seem to get fixed from any portal member.

Just because an issue is not reported in mantis, does not mean that it isn't being looked at.
in fact many issues are not even being registered in mantis.
Technically the "no audio/video detected" occurs when the timeshifting buffer file on the server isn't starting up (being created, file size 0). This means that somehow the serverside tswriter component isn't writing to the file.
So it's not a client issue.
If you try the timeshifting feature in tvsetup, u should receive the same error.
Why does the server fail with this issue then ??
Could be numerous things really.
Signal problems can be one of them (If I unplug my dvb-t antenna cable I get this).
In this case it's obviously valid.
Diskspace problems. I've seen it do this when diskspace on the timeshifting device is getting too low.
(On a sidenote I would like to see warnings diskspace indicators on the client. but this is still left to do.)
And I guess, then problem can also occur b/c of bad drivers.
Finally bugs in tswriter or other server code can cause this.
Personally, I am not seeing this one - so it's a bit hard for me to do anything about.
