Not Recording Titles (1 Viewer)

I noticed that some channels offer slightly modified titles that I am missing out recording.

for example... i record "The Big Bang Theory" to watch at my leisure, but the tv station now has the title as "The Big Bang Theory (new)" or "The Big Bang Theory (includes Crime Stoppers)" which Media Portal ignores.

I ask you... is their a wild card option where I can put into the schedule and record all variants of the show?

Sorry I can't answer. It's been ages since I used TVServer's scheduling. I use ForTheRecord for my scheduling and there it is possible to create a schedule with "containing" options.
Maybe someone using TVServer's scheduling can help please?

You may want to look at using the ForTheRecord plugin. It has a more advanced rule engine for scheduling that would definitely allow you to use wildcards.

Sadly I'm another FTR user, who finds the advanced scheduling options to tempting.

I got the response I needed.... going to investigate ForTheRecord.

FTR users... need a little help.

got it working and setup my schedules. like the plugin.

BUT noticed that after viewing a couple of channels it now comes up with an error saying it cannot stream the selected channel. I rebooted and now it says there are NO FREE CARDS. I have 3 tuners and they are all idle.

Any ideas?
