Not Seeing bluray disc in drive (1 Viewer)

i followed the instructions and set external player to true and provided the path but when i load program it just shows the last sd dvd i had in the drive

Did you setup the parameter instructions? You have to use %filename% type of stuff at the end to properly pass the media you selected to play, otherwise all you going to do is launch the program and then rely on what that program does when it is started without parameters, in your case it shows last DVD you ran.

by going to the Moving Pictures config i could see the disc and imported it manually. now i can see it and play it fine with TMT but:
no disc i insert will auto show up in the movies program, tried to assign drive and had some long pop up about assigning image drives or something

ps is there a way to (when i get it right) seeing the movie in the drive first or do you have to scroll to it?

Check your MediaPortal configuration. I forgot exactly where, but you have the option to immediatly start playback of optical media upon inserting. This should then also kick in the import in MovingPictures if it can recognize the disc ID via a search.

Then later if you browse your MovPic collection and find the same movie and try to play it, it will give you a nice warning to insert media, so that you can locate the same optical media.

I haven't used optical media like this in a while, as I coverted my entire library over to digital format and safeguard the actual location from dust, scratches and other abuse
