ATI 550 analog card config NOT WORKING

I have the same problem as users abaove.

TVServer3 - version 03032007
SQLServerExpress
ATI TVWonderElite 550 TV card Analog TV card w/HW encoding
WinXP SP2
Pentium4
1GB RAM

All works fine in MP 2.
In TVServer, card is detected, but scanning does not work, for either TV or Radio.

ALSO -
While the card is detected, one aspect of the card capabilities is not correct.
When I click the radio tab, it shows a dialog stating the card does not support radio. However, this card does have a radio tuner, and the radio function works fin in MP 02.

I could not find any TVServer-specific log files, so I haven't included logs. Would be happy to if someone can point me to them.

Thanks,
Don P.

same problem here with Compro T750.... TVServer detects the analog card and scans for the channels, but no channels appear in the list. I know I can recieve the channels because then come through on the compro DTV software.

EXACTLY the same here -- the T750 is working with the bundled software, but neither the analogue or dvb-t tuners are picking up any channels.

I'm having the same issue.

Yep, same problem still exists with the Compro T-750, and I know of a couple of other users with the same issue (and same card).

This seems quite common among new MP users; does anyone out there have some advice?

:D

Anyone who may be passing by and reading this. I dont believe this issue is due to user error. I have no problem with my Hauppauge 350, or 1600 HVR. Just my Nvidia DualTV card. I believe the choice bits from the error stack trace are as follows. These happen over and over again for each channel scanned:

Code:
3/20/2007 1:45:35 PM Exception :No audio compressor filter found
3/20/2007 1:45:35 PM site :Void BuildGraph()
3/20/2007 1:45:35 PM source :TVLibrary
3/20/2007 1:45:35 PM   stacktrace:   at TvLibrary.Implementations.Analog.TvCardAnalogBase.BuildGraph()
   at TvLibrary.Implementations.Analog.TvCardAnalog.Tune(Int32 subChannelId, IChannel channel)
at TvService.TvCard.Tune(User& user, IChannel channel, Int32 idChannel)

This is for tvengine3-03-20-2007--10-34h--Rev13499

I've also attached the log file in it's entirety.

Just curious... there are at least seven other people having the same issue "there hardware based TV card is detected but can't find channels" how many more people need to request help, before we actually get some..... I started this post 5 weeks ago.....

Issue still exists here; i've been crossposting in other similar threads.

As have I....unfortunately instead of taking 30 seconds to acknowledge the issue or provide some help, I received two infractions for "cross posting" I certainly don't want to clutter up the forums, I just want some help...is that so much to ask?

I hate to thread (or even program) crap, but this is exactly the issue that caused me to switch to SageTV. I have the NVidia DualTV and posted a few times back when I first got it and was trying to get it to work with MediaPortal and did not receive any help. I found that very sad as I liked the rest of the program but my primary use was as a TV so it was useless. I still hold out a little hope for the program and check back in every once in a while to see if the issue has been resolved. Unfortunately it has not so I will remain a SageTV user until then.
