Re: OnlineVideos 0.19 (29.03.2010)

Hi

Since installing 0.19 I have been unable to get the Iplayer working. Are other users having this problem ? I think it may be due to the Beeb changing the way the feed is sent. Can other UK users check and let me know

Thanks

Keith

iplayer seems to work ok for me.
So, Apple trailers work for everyone? Hmm. must be my setup then. Same on 3 clients...
Can someone advise how I uninstall online videos? Can't find an uninstaller anywhere

Just tested bbc for you auto updated and now they are listed each program in its own folder and all working for me.

    Cheers

Can someone try Apple trailers for me please? I can see the movie covers, but when I choose one, it just says "none"
I'd like to see if it's a problem at my end (on all of my clients!)
    :D

Works fine here, just tested. If you'd follow the guidline for posting bugreports (or asking for help) we could help you better.
Most important beeing what skin are you using? Did you test it with Blue3wide? Why no Logs.....

Aha, I was using Fidelity. It kinda works on Blue3Wide.
The reason I didn't send a bug report was that I wanted to establish if it was a problem at my end. I didn't want you guys trying to get to the bottom of a problem that doesn't exist :)
All I wanted to know was if anyone else had a problem.

Thanks for the tip... Note to self - always try Blue3 wide first :)

    Re: OnlineVideos 0.19 (29.03.2010)

The current site uses the rss feeds that point to the mp4 files.
    Example: Aftenshowet

Maybe you want to write a small SiteUtil for OnlineVideos that gets the wmv streams?

The problem is that the wmv-files are only available through a pretty advanced scraper-script. The entire class for fetching the files (including MMS url extraction and fetching of images) is ~ 450 lines.

Can this in any way be ported?

I think you (or me or someone else) could get this to work.
It's 450 lines because it's a complete plugin, and only the regexes/urls are needed for onlinevideos

Did I hear a rumour that iPlayer now groups all associated episodes under one programme category/icon? :)

I dont have auto update turned on, becuase when I tried it originally, it removed my custom channels :(

That's true. In the next version you can do an manual update and it will also download the dll, so no more autoupdate required.
