only 50% cover downloading (1 Viewer)

I have only arround 50% downloading covers... dont know why :/
is there something wrong with the script?

See this post for details. Basically though one of the websites we used to pull covers from, does not want us to pull covers from them anymore. Right with 0.6.5 you are pulling only from impawards.com. In 0.7 it will also pull from themoviedb.org which should help the situation some. Sorry for the trouble.

Because i am setting up a HTPC right now, so if you say it will releasy in 3 or 4 days i wait. Otherwise I pull the covers from somewhere else

As for 0.7 I think it will be a bit further off then just a few days. I really don't like to give myself hard deadlines because then this becomes more stressful and begins to feel like a job. And I do this because I enjoy it, not because I want a second job. So I would say a week or two roughly? We are getting close but there is some polish that still needs to be done and we will probably spend at least a few days in internal testing since there are so many changes.

But I have one more question. Moving Pictures is currently getting the background from themoviedb. Is it possible that you can manually choose which background you want to use. Because on the site you can sometimes choose from 1 to 20 different background. That would be a very nice feature

This whole scraper issue is a bit confusing to me...

I am using the current version from "Moving Pictures Public Beta 0.6.5", but i am having troubles with missing covers for several movies. Some of them are asian, i guess these are just not available, but i'm also missing them for movies like "Le Femme Nikita", which is available at all the pages i've read about here.

What database are the covers currently retrieved from? I would then upload the cover there myself if it should be missing.

Sorry for the frustration Felias. When it comes down to it though, the current version of Moving Pictures is scraping websites for both movie details and cover art and this unfortunately means that perfect results can be very hard to achieve. With the next release we will be supporting themoviedb.org so hopefully from that point forward results will be a bit more consistent. themoviedb.org is still a young site so the collection of covers there is not complete, but it is user driven and growing fast.

There are currently no user driven databases that are used by Moving Pictures 0.6. You can upload cover art to themoviedb.org, but Moving Pictures will not take advantage of this until the 0.7 release. In the mean time you can of course manually add covers in the config screen. If the missing covers are not bothering you too much though it may just be better to wait as themoviedb.org will probably have at least a few covers that you do not already have.
