Hey great plugin, how hard do you think turning media portal in to a upnp renderer would be?
or is this possible already?

I've looked into the idea and have created a control point but the intel stack seems too unstable and microsofts upnp av stack is a little more difficult to obtain and i'm not sure about the legal issue of using it.

I installed the plugin on mediaportal-svn-04-16-2006--01-01 and I keep getting this error after enabling the plugin and trying to enter the pluginconfiguration in the configuration-application:

2006-04-17 15:50:55 Unable to start plugin:MediaServer.MediaServer exceptionystem.TypeLoadException: Det gick inte att läsa in typen MediaPortal.Profile.Xml från sammansättningen Core, Version=1.0.2297.22, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null.
vid MediaServer.MediaServer.LoadDirectories()
vid MediaServer.MediaServer.Start()
vid MediaPortal.GUI.Library.PluginManager.Start()

What am I doing wrong?

I can´t start configuration pof this plugin within MP setup - Setup crashes.

I´m using MP 0.2.0.0 with SVN Build 9597.

Hi

I am considering switching to Media Portal in part because of the potential to use a upnp client . I have some questions about the functionality. Does the client interface show metadata that Media Portal keeps for videos, music, etc? What does the client interface look like? Are there screenshots somewhere? Also, can this stream currently recording TV?
