I am sorry Azzuro but i have no idea regarding this specific hardware.
no problem, i think, the hardware is good for what i want to do.

    @CyberSimian :
Your proposition it's an good alternativ. but i have look on my principal resealler, the price is more expensive. with 6 TO.
    3 TO = 129.9€ ( 43.3 €/To ) x5 = 649.5
    6 TO = 292.9€ ( 48.8 €/To ) x3 = 878.7€
    230€ in more.

Sure, i'm aggree, your solution, let empty 2 bays. but more expensive.
    and i think 12 To is not for today, actually i have 2 To with 450 - 500 movie (4gb / movie).

    Hi.
Depends who you ask. There is famous Lehmden who stores ~15,000 series episodes...
Oh, this are data from the past. In meantime I'm way over 20.000 Episodes and 1500 Movies. I have a total storage of a little bit below 40 TB splitted on three different Systems. A NAS for my movies (nearly all 1080p) running only when needed and build from older (Celeron 847) but not too power consuming hardware I had laying around here with 10 TB storage, a Mini NAS running 24/7 build from a Banana Pi for storing my music with 320 GB and 29 TB storage for my series (mostly 720p and 1080p) attached to my main Haswell i5 System that also is my main HTPC.

HDD are completely mixed up. There are really old (even an IDE) Disks working for nearly 10 years now up to a lot of 3 TB USB 3.0 disks from last year. I've bought a lot of them last year as a factory (Platinum, for those who knows them) nearby (10 KM) has quit and they sold their remaining products for very little money. Aprox 50-60€ for a 3 TB USB 3.0 Disk or 10€ for a 2,5" 500 GB USB 3.0... Brands are WD (the majority, mostly Green), Seagate (the second biggest part), Samsung (a few), Toshiba (two) and Hitachi (one)...
Failures are not depending on Brand or Type, it's completely random how long a drive lasts here...

    Edit:
For those who are interested I have about 2 TB free space on my main System, 100 GB on my Music NAS and below 1 TB on the Movies NAS. So not too much space left...

    HI.
I didn't know how much exactly I have before as I've counted the space only for this posting...
I'm able to add some more USB disks, but I think I will delete some series and movies first before I buy some more drives... 30 TB Series episodes are enough, I think...:p;)

This is my main PC. Attached are 5 USB Disks (not on the picture) and in meantime a tenth internal disk...

    Hello,
i have received an new offer from my favorite shop
5% OFF on all WD red HDD up to 14/06
So, i think it's time for me to buy my Disk, but i have discovered on the same shopstore, an package about Seagate NAS HDD

So with the cybersimian opinion, i think i will move at least on 4x4 to disk drive, with 1 bay drive free.
    so the price :

    WD red 4 To x4

    174.89€ x 4 = 699.56
    166.15 x 4 = 664.6
    = Delta : 35€

    Seagate NAS 4 TO x 4

    648.96
    so 15.64 €

But i don't know if i need really of the vibration sensor ?
The Seagate are less cheaper. but i read nobody who say information on it.
