i tried installing this update and when i open the plugin in MP it's all blank. the menu on the right shows up and there's an empty dvd box on the left, that's it. i'm using MP 1.0.1 and the latest streamedMP skin. i even uninstalled the plugin in with the uninstaller and removed the database file. still get an empty plugin. any idea?

UPDATE: i fixed it. i re-added it to the streamedmp menu configuration and it seems to be working now...

    Has anyone gotten this to work with the Black&White 1080p skin? I was trying it out, nice skin, but there are no skinfiles for this plugin and I can't seem to add it to basichome either (no hyperlink id). Will it even work?

    Ixian,
    Try these files, its just start but it should at least get it working for you.

    Also, be sure to check that the plugin is configured for "Listed In Home" for it to show up in the home menu.

    Thanks again WileE.

    Any clue how I would go about adding this to basichome.xml by chance?

    Hey Winterescape & Killdashnine,
    Try this... Go to Start->Team MediaPortal-> Mediaportal->MediaPortal Plugins-Skins Installer->Extension Manger

    Try to uninstall/install from there. The reason it cannot uninstall is because one of the Dll's is in use (This may be because the MediaPortal Configuration is open.)

    Let me know if that doesnt work.

    Wile E.

    Edit: What happens if you double click on the MPI file from Windows Explorer?

    Success!!!!
    If I dbl click the mpi i get the windows dialog to "please associate a program with this extension dialog box"
    I did not browse for a program cause I was not sure what to launch it with.

    When I
    Go to Start->Team MediaPortal-> Mediaportal->MediaPortal Plugins-Skins Installer->Extension Installer
    your plugin was listed as an option and it said "allready installed" but I reinstalled and it now launches!

    Thanks for your help and for writing this app!!!

    I too had to go this route to properly install the MPI. Now with the MPI installed (versus the previous methods of dropping the files in the plugin directory) my issues with the Netflix browser not opening in fullscreen have been resolved.

    To WileECoyote: You have done well to get this far. Please take my following statements as purely constructive suggestions. Now that your core plugin is working for most without too many issues, I would suggest taking a step back and maybe working on the stability and installation process of the core Netflix app versus adding more enhancements.

    I would also recommend getting this app published to Mediaportal's own plugin library now that your in line with their MPI plugin path.

    Just suggestions.

    Cheers.

    Hey Killdashnine,
    Thanks for the feedback. As always, I appreciate the feedback.

    Other than the installation issues you had, what other problems are your or others having? I have not found any other issues with RC1 so if you do find one please let me know so I can fix it before I publish 1.0.

    Yes, this has been the plan since I released RC1. After all the remaining issues are resolved I plan to submit the 1.0 version to have it posted.

    Thanks again,
    Wile E.

    i updated to silverlight and i gotta say the quality isn't nearly as bad as i remember. might be my new system, or they improved the program... dunno. but my netflix still won't start up in fullscreen. can anyone tell me what the script actually does to make it go fullscreen? i'm guessing there's some kind of conflict with some other software i'm running.

    Hey Antgash,
    Are you still running dual monitors? If so it the fullscreen & remote functions will not work on dual screens.

    yep. still got dual monitors... i'd rather have this minor annoyance than only use one monitor. i'm surprised more people aren't using dual monitors and encountering this problem.
