I have a little more info. When I try the view a TV series it never redirects me to the login screen. I get the error almost immediately. When I view a movie it takes longer to redirect me to the login prompt.

Thanks

I get this error if I am not logged in and try and view any TV series - I am guessing it is a multi-disk thing, but not sure. If I opened a movie then I would get the actual log-in prompt. If would enter my details, start the movie and then stop it, and then play the TV series epsiode.
edit: I think I solved this by changing the settings of Internet explorer to remember passwords, store history, cache etc, but I am using the custom browser to view netflix. I changed a lot of stuff at the same time though, so it could have been a number of things. By fixed, I mean I am now always logged in when I open the my netflix browser window.

Hmmm... If you are properly authenticated, it should never ask you for your credentials again. If you were to go to the Netflix site, does it ask you to login? If so, please check the "Save Password" option and login... Then it should work okay.

Is the custom browsers authentication linked to either IE or firefox? I have definitely had to re-enter my credentials in the custom browser, but I normally don't allow saved passwords in my regular browsers for security reasons/paranoia. After changing the IE settings I apparently no longer have to reauthenticate in the custom browser.

I understand your concern. But unfortunately this plugin will probably not work correctly unless you save the password from the Netflix site. Just to explain a little of the backend...

When you install the plugin and hit the "Authorize" button, it will take you to the Netflix site to authorize. Once you enter your credentials, the 'My Netflix' application will save a key. That key allows the My NetFlix application to pull your DVD Queue, Instant Queue, Recommendations, etc...

When you browse movies, the URL to the movie is passed to the My NetFlix application. When you click play, it then relies on your browser credentials to play the movie (so the Key stored ealier has nothing to do with this process.) So if you do not have the credentials saved in your browser, it will prompt you for your credentials. If after you enter your credentials, Netflix may take you somewhere else, or somehow misinterpret the information saying its an invalid movie/series. So if you are using a private computer and for the best performance/experience my recommendation would be to save your password, unless you are using a public computer then I would agree with you and say not to save it.

Im Sorry, I didnt answer your question... The custom browser is based off an IE control, so my best guess is it will use the cookies from IE. So if you are to save your password I would do it in IE. That would make sense that after you changed your settings in IE it would work correctly...

I have to enter my credentials every time I login. I don't allow the browser to save my password. I can change the setting and see if that helps.

Ok it makes sense now - my guess is most people who have log-in errors, or non-permanent authentication actually need to change their IE settings, either stored passwords or cache settings.

For what ever reason I can not get IE to remember the password for netflix, it work with gmail and facebook. Never ask me if I want to save my password. I do have the box checked on the web page to remember me. I got firefox to save the password. I'm still getting the same error with tv series disks. Like poppabk said it's a problem with mutli-disk thing. poppabk, do you remember what settings you changed in ie that would save the password? When you hit the "Authorize" button does it matter what your default browser is?

    Thanks

Have you ever looked at the "Move Media Player"? It is used by sites such as ESPN360, ABC, FOX, Discovery and CW. Having an MP plugin for ESPN360 would be great. I am thinking it could use some of the same techniques you use to control Silverlight in a browser inside of MP since Move Media Player runs inside a browser. In fact Move Networks and Microsoft are merging their technologies into Silverlight. Move Networks Announces Strategic Partnership with Microsoft

    Movie not opening fullscreen

First of all, many thanks to WileECoyote and the other folks on this thread for all the work they've done on this excellent plugin.

Like some folks in previous posts, I am having an issue where movies do not automatically appear fullscreen when I launch them from the plugin. I have to use the mouse to click the Fullscreen button on the movie.

I am using the latest version of the plugin (1.0.2), which I installed after uninstalling the old version and deleting the MyNetflix database. This problem actually started with the previous version of the plugin (which was working properly at one point). I thought the new version might resolve it, but I'm having the same problem.

I'm attaching a screenshot of how my screen looks when I try to play a movie. As you can see, the red icons do appear in the system tray, so that part seems to be working properly. I can stop the movie and close the browser using the Stop button on my remote, but the other remote functions (play, pause, etc.) don't work until I manually make the movie fullscreen using the mouse.

I'm also attaching my log files, which appear to show an error regarding an "id 110099." Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
