Update...

I just submitted version 1.0.3, it should be posted shortly. The major changes in this version are...

11/18/2009 - Version 1.0.3
- Refactored Code to make it a little more streamlined (hopefully will be a little faster)
- Removed Series Disc view. If you click on a Series that is Instant View, it will take you directly to Episodes.
- Refactored cover retrieval.
- Cached last view, so when you leave My Netflix & return, it should return you to the same point you were when you left. (Unless you restart MP)

As always, please post logs with issues.

Thanks,
Wile E.

Excellent. As someone who mainly watches TV series, this was the one last niggling issue I had.

I have been searching recently for fresh ideas, and I have a few buddies that have been bugging me for an "Other User Queue View" to "peep" at friends queues. The idea is you could search for a user and view their Instant & DVD queues. You would only be able to search for folks that want to participate and obviously participation is voluntary.

The way the system would work is it would upload the url's to the dvd's in your queue's to a table on the server I already use for the Instant view search. The information would update everytime you start MP or update your queue. Your Netflix information will NOT be uploaded to the tables, only information about Movies in your queues. The table would be relativly simple, Unique Id, Username (a name of your choice), DVD Url and Queue identifier (Instant or DVD).

    Thoughts? Other ideas?

Very nice update. TV series works great. Keep up the good work.

    Thanks

    Hey elhesse,

    Hey Samaras,
Does the stop button not close the browser window? I know some folks have had issues with the scripts not running, but stop should always close the browser. Are you running the custom browser or did you specify IE or Firefox?

Im now running the custom browser, I did try using firefox, but had problems with it wanting to open multiple instances of netflix. I just gave the stop button a go and it did work! Cool thank you!

Are there any other remote buttons pre assigned for other tasks, besides volume, which does work for me alibit a bit buggy....

I guess I should probably post the remote buttons that work on the first post huh? :)

    - Pause button - Pauses the movie
    - Play button - Plays the movie
    - Fast Forward - Skip forward on the timeline (It always starts at the beginning of the timeline. This is quirky, but it works)
    - Rewind - Skips backward on the timeline (But only after you go forward on the timeline.)
    - Skip forward - Skips to the next episode of a series
    - Skip backward - Skips to the previous episode of a series
    - Stop button - Closes the browser and returns to MP

    Well If possible…
    1) I would like a “non user specific” start queue, like “top watched this week” or “top instant views titles of all time”
    2) I would like the “new releases" to only list one instance of new releases, currently it fills the list with all the episodes of some TV shows
    3) I would like new releases in category like “new comedies” etc..

I know last time I asked it seemed specific to the Netflix API but it cant hurt to keep them on your radar…

    :D
