First of all, many thanks to WileECoyote and the other folks on this thread for all the work they've done on this excellent plugin.

Like some folks in previous posts, I am having an issue where movies do not automatically appear fullscreen when I launch them from the plugin. I have to use the mouse to click the Fullscreen button on the movie.

I am using the latest version of the plugin (1.0.2), which I installed after uninstalling the old version and deleting the MyNetflix database. This problem actually started with the previous version of the plugin (which was working properly at one point). I thought the new version might resolve it, but I'm having the same problem.

I'm attaching a screenshot of how my screen looks when I try to play a movie. As you can see, the red icons do appear in the system tray, so that part seems to be working properly. I can stop the movie and close the browser using the Stop button on my remote, but the other remote functions (play, pause, etc.) don't work until I manually make the movie fullscreen using the mouse.

I'm also attaching my log files, which appear to show an error regarding an "id 110099." Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My system behaves EXACTLY the same way with the latest plugin and the latest SVN. I just haven't complained about it cause I'm too lazy to collect the logs and I figured I was a anomaly if nobody else mentions it.

I got around it by using a custom Firefox browser with the kiosk plugin enabled. But i'd like to go back to the default browser if this can be fixed.

Cheers!

Chris

4. Double click on the MPI file and it will prompt you to install.
Sorry if this is a newbie question but I followed the instructions and when I click on the MPI file as noted in step 4, it does not install. It asks me if I want to save it, which I had already done. Am I missing something? I do not honestly know nor have I ever seen a MPI file in the past. What is it?

    Hey Guys,
The issues with the AutoHotkey scripts are hard to debug, as MP doesnt collect any information from the scripts :( I have the latest build running on Windows 7 64 bit, MP Beta 1 with no issues. The only known issue is if you are running dual monitors it will not go fullscreen automatically (the scripts will not run properly on dual monitors.)

Without knowing what software and hardware setups you have, it is very difficult to know what exactly is causing the issue. Unfortuantly there are a number of programs that block autokey scripts and if any of those are installed it could cause issues. If you google AutoKey Scripts issue you might find a better answer... Sorry I couldnt be much help on this one :(

    Hey Mashenden,
If it doesnt install automatically you can go to Start->All Programs->Team MediaPortal->MediaPortal->MediaPortal Extension Installer to install it that way.

Thanks for the post, I need to update the instructions as it is now a MPE1 file extension.

Sounds good. Thank you for the response. I think I was able to install it but...

Regretfully after installing it, MP hangs up during the Installing Plug-ins phase of the start up sequence. At some point I hear a ping, but since MP opens in full screen with no minimize option, it is not possible to see an error message if there is one. When I shut down MP using Alt Ctrl Del, I notice that the Netflix web page is open asking to link. Any suggestions?

Did you open MP config and follow the instructions to authorize the account or did you just install the plugin and then try to launch MP?

I think I had two Netflix applications and I was confusing the two. I think I am almost operational - It looks awesome but when I went to play an Instant Queue, I got an error /WiPlayerCommunityAPI

    Any ideas?

Please disregard last question - I think it is working - AWESOME

    New to MediaPortal

Hi I am new to MediaPortal, however I am a longtime MythTV user. Long story short, I love my remote control, and had a real hard time ever getting it to work under linux, esp Xubuntu, but when I revert to icky windows it works well.

My problem here is I installed this netflix plugin and not only did it not work for me, but EVERY time I started MP, it got stuck on the "Loading Window Plugin" screen. and since I had it autostart and on top of all other screens my only choice in the end was to go into safe mode and uninstall since the config panel would not work in safemode to uninstall the plugin.

Did I do something wrong? I love netflix and want to get it working, since I had to revert to windows.....I hope I can get a little satisfaction out of it! :)

    Anywho, my configuration is below
    AMD Duron ??? 1800Mhz
    1Gb DDR
Nivida GeForce 6200 (using S-Video out to TV)
Hauppauge WinTV card (only for the remote)
Hauppauge PVR-150 (To view and record live tv)
    ***cough***Win XP Pro***ICKY ICKY ICKY!!!!!

If you look two posts back, you will probably find the answer. As WinterEscape described before, it is a configuration issue. When you install the My NetFlix plugin, it has to be configured. Otherwise when you open MP it will be waiting for input from the user asking 'Have you entered your credentials?'. Only the dialog box is hidden and it appears that MP is hung.

Sooo... Go into the MP config, and right click to enable the My Netflix plugin. Then right click on it again to configure the plugin. The first thing you need to do is authorize, then move on to the other tabs and fill in the blanks. If you have trouble there is a gude on the first post of this thread.

Also, please post logs when you are having issues. It helps us quickly determine where the issue lies and gets you answers quicker.

    Wile E.

EDIT: I just submitted a new version 1.0.2b. It will enable the plugin by default, so it should address a few issues new users have been having.

I installed through the MP config panel, I also authorized the plugin to my account. I however noticed this morning there is a MP extension installer in the start menu, is this what I was supposed to use? I will read more on this plugin today, and disable auto-start and try again later today. busy transferring files ATM.

I will let you know what happens, also since I know hardly anything about windows***cough*** and MP, where exactly will I find the MP log files?

Ok I re downloaded the plugin and reinstalled (this time only thing different was I installed via VNC on my MacBook Pro). Seems to be working now it does not lock up on the load of MP I will be playing with it more latter. Wonderful plugin thanks for developing it!

    Update...

I just submitted version 1.0.3, it should be posted shortly. The major changes in this version are...

    11/18/2009 - Version 1.0.3
    - Refactored Code to make it a little more streamlined (hopefully will be a little faster)
    - Removed Series Disc view. If you click on a Series that is Instant View, it will take you directly to Episodes.
    - Refactored cover retrieval.
    - Cached last view, so when you leave My Netflix & return, it should return you to the same point you were when you left. (Unless you restart MP)

As always, please post logs with issues.

    Thanks,
    Wile E.
