Re: [plugin] "My NetFlix" Plugin with Watch Now Support
Hey Fade23,
Since MyNetflix is a USA plugin only, I have not created a skin developers guide simply because I maintain all the skins. I can put something together for you and attach it to the first post when I get a chance.
As far as the fanart goes, themoviedb.org does all the matching for me. I send the movie name and it sends back a response of the movie 'hits'. I have went as far as matching the movie year, such as Alice in Wonderland has quite a few releases on different years, so I make sure the request from Netflix matches the year from themoviedb.org. If there is no perfect match I take the next best thing...
@DrJekell,
Yea, the Windows 7 Aero Peek is a pain, I need to add that to the notes on the first post. So your issues are resolved now?
Has anyone else had this issue with Windows 7 & one of the RC of 1.1? Could you do me a favor and clear your logs, reproduce the error then post all your logs? (Note: Please post complete logs)
Thanks
Hey futurecode,
Which version of MP are you using? Could you please clear your logs, reproduce the error and post your complete logs?
Thanks,
Wile E.
Two questions for you, WileECoyote:
Is there a list of all the available data elements that are available for use in a skin? I'm trying to customize MyNetflix.xml to look more like Moving Pictures by displaying the synopsis on the List view, but I'm finding that certain variables (like #detailsummary, for instance), are only available when I'm in MyNetflixDetails.xml
Also, would it be possible to use stricter matching rules when retrieving fanart from themoviedb.org? I find that since most TV series do not get an exact hit in the database it will pick one of the partial matches, so I end up with things like Arrested Development Season 1 with a backdrop from The Clone Wars cartoon. I'd much prefer to just show no backdrop at all if it can't find an exact match. Or even better, fail over to tvdb.com for television series.

I love this plug-in.
I am having a random issue with it and MP 1.1RC1-4 Win7. When I hit stop on a movie sometimes instead of returning to the plug-in it looks like MP has crashed. I am not sure if it has, but I am now at the desktop and the task bar will not appear. Sometimes it works fine and it returns to the plug-in screen. When this happens I just reboot and there seems to be no harm done. It's just a pain to have to reboot.

Ok, I'm totally new to mediaportal and after a few short awesome days messing with it I stumbled across this netflix plug-in. Well, long story short, I can not get it to work/show up at all.
I downloaded the newest zip file. Opened, MP config (as ADMIN in windows 7 64). Clinked plug ins, MPinstaller, then went through the install process which went fine. The configured mynetflix.
Upon opening MP there was no myneflix on the home section. Only reference found inside MP was under browse plug-ins > extensions, and there I can uninstall or reinstall.
If I close MP and open MP con-fig and go to plug-ins I can right click on mynetflix and check either "listed in my plug-ins" or "listed in home". Neither fixes my issue and after "listed in home" and booting MP I can go into browse plug-ins > extensions and there is a missing row of lettering in the list like there should be something there (but is not: between "moving pictures" and "weather") that when the empty space is clicked tells me "missing or invalid file"
Also, after install myneflix and messing with it to try and get it too work my weather is now down (says city is invalid)
