Hi, I took the plunge and loaded the latest MP svn and tv server svn. I couldn't get the plugin to work on the server so I put the appropriate version into MP and got the same message in the log file (attached). What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Have you ran auto-tune in MP?
There were no channels matched, this is usually when there are
no frequencies in the DB from the auto-tune.

If autotune is the third tab in the configuration where the channels come up - yes, I ran it. Is there a more manual process or should I just try to reinstall everything?

Auto-tune is not in the zap2it config

Not in front of it right now but, in the MediaPortal configuration.exe under
Television->Capture Cards then Edit your card.
It is something like auto-tune or auto-scan.

Didn't know you jumped back to the TVServer, I thought you went back
to MP stand alone

It looks like the mapping went OK (all the "Matched channel" entries)

The rest of the log is missing, so if that is all there was, then it did not
have enough time to complete the EPG programs update after it
mapped the channels.

"Starting processing of 2436 schedule entries" is only the
first 24 hours of programming and that never finished
according to the log.

The "Unable to find Program Channel" entries are because of the
six channels in you zap2it lineup that could not be matched.

Could not find a match for ENCORE/84
Could not find a match for SHOW/81
Could not find a match for TMC/82
Could not find a match for STARZ/83
Could not find a match for LOOR095/95
Could not find a match for LOOR096/96

The first update takes the longest and you have the max days
of lineup specified, so multiple by 2463 for each day.

I would give the plugin at least 30 minutes to update the database
on the first run. You can always re-open the log file while the server
is running to see progress.

Also the server is a little different as it is a service, so the Force Guide Update will only work when the service is restarted.

Let me know how it goes or if I missed something in what you are saying the problem is.

Check the first post in this thread for v1.8a.
There are two different versions depending on if you are using
MP v0.2.2 release with or without any SVN updates.

I just went though, uninstalled everything, (including deleteing the MP directory from "program files") reinstalled MP (v0.2.2.0 right off the team-mediaportal.com webpage) and plugin v1.8a (1.8.2565.24566) and now things seem to be working, dont know what the problem was but all is well now.

I made a couple of configuration changes and it seems to be working - at least the program guide populated. Not knowing what these configs do exactly, I disabled one of my tuners, set the confilct resolution plugin to "Resolve" and set the Zap2it plugin to match via channel (i'm assuming otherwise it would match by frequency).

Anyhow, I wanted post what worked for me as it may help others. Thanks for taking the time to write such a useful plugin!

ok having a slight issue with the times lining up on my guide.

i have MP 0.2.2.0 and v1.8a of the plug in

for some reason the tv guide is 4 hours off (aka shows that should be on at 10pm say they are on at 6pm)

i have cleared the database, set time offset to 0 (since your not supposed to need it). but the problem prosists.

any suggestions?

Check you PC settings for time and time zone.

Since you had to set the MP xmltv time offset to zero I guess
you had changed it at some point, do you think that has made any problems?

When you say you cleared the database, do you mean deleted the TVDatabase file?
If not try that.

TV Engine and Guide

Hi all,

I reinstalled the TV Engine and all of MP a couple of days ago because I could not get the guide. I still have the same problem.

I have created a Zap2It account, configured the server to use it. I can refresh the lineup, modify it and save it from the Server management console.

How can I check that the guide is or is not downloading, I could not see anything in the log file?
