I ran an autotune on my ATSC device and forced an update. I get the correct channel now, but for some reason the channel number doesn't rename/match up right:

Not sure I understand correctly but in your log:
Code:
Rename Existing Channels is set to: False

Try enabling rename channels.

I think i may have a related problem. If i 20 on my remote, i see the "20" appear in the upper right, but MP directs me to channel 21. No matter what channel i hit, it will always direct me to one above. Do i not have something configured properly????

In the MP configuration.exe there is a checkbox under Television
that says "Select Channel By Index (non-US)" make sure that box
is NOT checked.

Sorry patrick, that log file was the one before I autotuned again.

The major/minor numbers of this particular channel are 43 and 1 but for some reason it gets renamed to 2-1.

For some reason this is coming off of my DirecTV channel lineup and not my local broadcast lineup. I'll have to play with them and see what happens.

I think I see what you mean now.

I cannot tell for sure where a problem occured but..
    Code:
Channel KCSMDT (KCSM-DT) was found as 2-1 KTVUDT in EPG mapping database
This says an existing mapping was found, the plugin will never try to find
a new mapping if an existing one is found.

Since this is an update I do not know if it was incorrectly mapped
by the plugin or just something changed/got messed up with mappings.

But...I do see also when the fix was added for the ATSC channels
how it could have been mapped incorrectly because of the name "KCSMDT".
Zap2It uses the DT suffix to indicate Digital Terrestrial.
When the "second chance" ATSC matching occurs, the code does not
check the lineup type only checks for the DT indicator.

So, to make a short story long, I should add a LineUp Type check for
LocalBroadcast before relying on the DT to attempt the second chance
    lookup.

In the meantime a work-around could be to:
    - Remove all existing mappings (save, clear, reload your channels)
    - remove the DirecTV lineup from Zap2It
    - Run MP so the plugin updates the mapping/EPG for all the local channels
    - Exit MP
    - Re-Add DirecTV to you Zap2it lineups
    - Force the plugin to update on next launch
    - Launch MP

This "should" allow mapping to be in place for 2-1 so the
DirecTV 43 KCSMDT channel will not incorrectly map to it.

I need to start writing my todo list somewhere, so I don't forget ;)

ok so im relativly new to mediaportal, and very new to this plug-in.

    But im having a problem.

Im running MP 0.2.2 and v1.8 of the plug in.

I have it installed ok (i think) i configure it fine, but when i open MP it doesnt get my program guide info. Then when i go back to the configure it now longer has the "download next time MP is launched" (which i think might be normal, not sure) .

HOWEVER it also seems to lose my settings, meaning that although it still has my username/password it no longer shows my cable line up in the 3rd tab (dont have it open infront of me so not sure what its called). i can hit refresh, and it finds my listings and will show them, but they dont seem to stick.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Ryan,

Don't try and save your lineup settings with this plugin. Make any changes to your lineup at the zap2it site.

Could you please post your epg.log file? You will also need to give it anywhere from 15-30 minutes the first time you try and get all your EPG data.

Im not trying to change my line up though the plug in, i'm just saying in the "Zap2It Lineups" tab everytime i open the configuration it is blank, i have to hit refresh and then hit the 'download lineup' inorder for it to show the channels.

Also i have let it run for well over 30minutes still with no luck

i didn't find an epg.log, only a Webepg.log hope that is what you looking for.

That is the way it is supposed to work.
It will only be populated when you refresh it.
That tab is only to help manage your lineup(s) and the data
is saved @ zap2it not locally.

I think that this is the key.
If there is no epg.log file, usually that means you are using
an incorrect version of the plugin.

There have been several changes to the logging within the MP core
requiring different version of the plugin.

Check the first post in this thread for v1.8a.
There are two different versions depending on if you are using
MP v0.2.2 release with or without any SVN updates.

Difficulty with zap2it - latest svn...

Hi, I took the plunge and loaded the latest MP svn and tv server svn. I couldn't get the plugin to work on the server so I put the appropriate version into MP and got the same message in the log file (attached). What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,
    Mark
