I'd love to use this plugin but I can't get it to map to any of my channels (analog only). The problem is that the zap2it listings for my area does have all the local stations but shows them to be on different channels/frequencies. ie. zap2it says 2 KTUU, but where I live (because of repeaters) it should be 10 KTUU.

What happens is I do an autotune force and EPG update and NONE of the channels match. It gives me the error that it can't Process any channels and asks if I've autotuned... There's got to be a workaround for this somehow. Right?

Sure ;)
If you do not have many channels you could try renaming them after the auto-tune to their callsign ONLY.
The plugin will attempt to find a match by callsign too.
You can still let the plugin rename too since once the mapping is established the name no longer matters.

NOTE:
If you rename all your channels to the callsign I would backup your channels
from the MP configuration BEFORE running the zap2it plugin.
That way if you have to ever do it again you can restore that list and not have to rename them all again.

If you still have problems after that post you epg.log file after an update to :

So I got around to testing the latest SVN build and the latest build of TVEngine.

When the TVServer build for the zap2it plugin added my DirecTV channels, it added them with "No tuning information".

I am unable to tune to any of these channels in MP.

Here is a post with my tv.log file:

I will have a look to see what might have changed.

I have not really looked at it at all since the frequencies were not being saved.
FYI, I was going to make changes to allow TVServer matching anyway but now it is in mantis:

Also I think your audio bug is in mantis:

Thanks,

Thanks for pointing these mantis entries out to me patrick. I need to get into the habit of checking mantis first ;)

I also keep wondering when the team will make you a DEV ;)

Is your input really set to RGB or did the plugin do this by mistake?

    patrick

It appears the plugin did this by mistake. The analog channels did not exist prior to configuring the zap2it plugin for TVServer.

    Thanks for looking into this!

LOL, yes, found my TODO note :)

I "think" the no tuning information is because it is not assigned/mapped to a Card.
Does it tune if you select the correct input(svhs1/etc) and map it to the correct card?
(Guessing since I do not have a TVCard in a box with the TVServer to test.)

It was a quick test of the TVServer I ran last night. Since I tune my DirecTV receiver with a serial cable, I wasn't able to test any analog channels last night. I uninstalled the TVserver installation without testing the correct input.

    Help.
Seems for some odd reason Zap2it plugin stopped working.
I have it running on two devices and both don't work. I just did a fresh install of the 2.0 code stream and the latest SVN. No freakin go.
    The log shows this message
    2006-12-21 20:36:10.078125 [Info.][MPMain]: Unable to start plugin:processPlugins.EpgGrabber.Zap2itPlugin exception:confused:ystem.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Void MediaPortal.GUI.Library.Log.WriteFile(LogType, System.String, System.Object[])'.
    at ProcessPlugins.EpgGrabber.Zap2itPlugin.MediaPortal.GUI.Library.IPlugin.Start()
    at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.PluginManager.Start()
I don't find an EPG log which a few folks have mentioned in other posts.
    I am at a loss.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
