Thanks for the info Patrick the problem is that I am unable to get any guide data because of this, do I need to save the zap2it data by hitting the save button? I have tried both ways and get no guide info..also how do I add another guide listing because I also use satellite

As patrick mentioned, just login to your account on http://labs.zap2it.com and modify your current lineup there. You can also add your satellite listing as well.

I also get a timeout with the zap2it plugin, but as patrick has mentioned, he has increased the timeout in the next version (I don't think we have seen this yet as he is still out on vacation).

I really only refresh my account with the zap2it plugin to verify that I have entered the correct login information. If you have your lineup setup the way you want it on the zap2it website, then the plugin should work just fine. Please remember to give it around 20-30 minutes for it to fully import the EPG data from your zap2it account.

I had this plugin working in the past, but I setup a new machine with the 0.2.2.0 and I cannot get it to work. I followed the directions and whenever I start MyTV, I get a message stating that no lineups are defined. this is after I have setup the plugin and auto-tuned. In the plugin lineups tab, I can hit refresh and it finds my lineup, downloads it, but it doesn't seem to save it. I think another user reported the same thing.

Here is the error in the epg.log

Hi all, new to MP and to these forums (had MythTV on my machine for a few months, but alas I am more of a Windows guy at heart, as much as I liked it it I could not keep it dancing enough to make the wife happy).

I'm running MP 0.2.2.0 and svn--12-28-2006--01-16-Rev12387, with the TVEngine on this same box. I've had a Zap2It account for a while and my lineup was appearing in the 0.2.1 EPG before I went to SVN.

Surely I am slipping up somewhere in the installation, because while my epg.log doesn't show any heinous errors, I get "No Channel" for every channel, and "No Data Available" in my guide. Filled with sadness, I am.

I uninstalled MP and the TV-Engine, reinstalled, scanned for channels on my Hauppauge cards, then told the Zap2it plugin to force a download on the next launch - let it sit for an hour, still no dice. Cleared the channels out of TV-Engine, did the same with the plugin and MP, and still no good. Woe is me.

Can anyone offer help? I can post logs or whatnot, but please be gentle if I've screwed something up - fussy newborn makes daddy not very functional

Hi Chris,

Check your lineup at the http://labs.zap2it.com web site.
Save it there if you need to make changes.
In the next version I have increased the timeout and it seems to work for me.

Maybe related to the no lineup.
Verify you have one defined @ the web site then try again.

That would be the why.
The current version is only for the MP internal MyTV.

I am thinking very soon there will be a version for the TVServer
along with an updated version for MP standard install v0.2.2.

Hi all,

I upgraded to 0.2.2.0 when it was released over christmas weekend, and now my tv guide is not being updated.

It would automatically update the tv guide with the listings for 5 days, but it wasn't until last night when I went to the guide and there was no listings shown. I tried messing around with it, but nothing seemed to work.

Is there a way to force the guide to update?

When will a new plugin be released for 0.2.2.0?


Edit: Nevermind I got the lastest SVN build and it is working now.

Holy Toledo, do I feel silly! I figured that since the TV-Engine plugin and 0.2.2 seemed so closely knit, and since the new version was recompiled for 0.2.2, that it would naturally work with the engine plugin.

You know what they say about assuming things...thanks for the clarification, Patrick, I am no longer mystified! Bummed and anxious for the new build, but not mystified!

I finally got my zap2it plugin to load epg by first removing the plugin and loading the svn release, you dont need to save your listings within the plugin..just hit refresh to make sure they show up and thats it..thanks for all the help guys..happy new year

Zap2It personal war

Guys lets say that I am a noob even do I configure Cisco routers I can t make the zap2it plugin work even after hours of reading on this forum.
I started with a clean installation of Xp pro and MP 0.2.2, followed the instructions for zap2it plugin , unzipped it inside plugins/process folder now theres more files inside than the zap2it dll nowhere says what to do with the rest of the files , unzipp them in the same folder as the dll or someother place?
I created an account on zapp2it site and I ve found out that you need some kind of key, this information is nowhere inside wiki what key? I introduced a key from another software.
I open the MP config find the zap2it plugin configure it , hit refresh, download my channel lineup but when I hit the save button I time out, plus the option to force download when you start MP does not want to stay checked.
Open the MP leave it on for 1 hour no update, somwhere I read that you have to do a rescan of channels, where is that option?I can t find it , the only time I rescan was on the initial MP start up and config.
Everything drives me nuts the more I read the more confused I get plus I feel like an retard , the information is all over the place no file has a start to finish walkthrough , something close to click by click for idiots like me.
Can somebody shed some light on me as I am hours away of hammering the MP box literally with the 20 pounds hammer.
Oh I ve attached the error log file I get from zapp2it plugin.
