crash on scan

Me too. I am having the same problem. software crashes when I scan for channels even though I installed the fix.
I guess I will go start a bug report.
Strange that this problem hasn't even been assigned as far as I can see.

If you use WinXP (MCE) and you have this patch installed, then it is possible that the driver of your TV-Card is buggy.
Make sure that you use the latest driver.

Thanks for the response , but I do not use MCE and the drivers for my video card are the latest available (ATI TV Wonder Pro).
It seems that I am not the only one having this issue (See: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/.../analog-program-scan-crashes-tv-server-59715/)
Unfortunately, since I can't seem to get past this error, it makes the entire program useless to me since I can't record channels. I had such high hopes too :( .

would you mind telling us _which_ OS you use? :p
If its just WinXp, you also need this patch. And if you still have crashes, its very likely that your Tv-Card/drivers causes them.

Oops, sorry. Yes, I use WinXP. My system specs are below.

But I have to say it's hard to see how this can be exclusively a driver problem. I have at least two other TV programs that can scan for channels with no issues. Also several other people with various TV cards are having the same problem even though they have the patch installed (See the link in my previous post).

Thanks for the attention you have given me. It is appreciated.

It always depends on "how the applicatiopn talks to the driver".
So application A can trigger a problem, while application B does not.

We had a lot of such issues in the past.
Bottomline is that this patch is the latest we can provide. If you still encounter crashes, well. Then i am not sure if we can help with that. :(
