Sorry I've tried on all my PCs and even if I try to go to rapidshare.com the page just sits waiting to load. Maybe its blocked by my ISP? All other web sites seem to be working OK! Can you post it somewhere else please. Thank you.

The download link for the update links to a rapidshare page, that says only premium members are allowed to download that file. I don't have a rapidshare account, and I don't see any information on the specifics of the update, so I can't go and find it myself (is this an official Windows update, or an unofficial update made by yourselves?).

Anyway, if someone could point me to where I can download it, that would be great :) Thanks!

First, is this only an issue for DVB tuners (DVB-T, DVB-S, DVB-C), or does it effect ATSC tuners oo? As I am in the USA, I get no DVB signal, so I use no DVB Tuner, only ATSC. I'm pulling OTA ASTC signals, nothing DVB. Does this still apply?

What's the exact version of the PsisDecd.dll file that is required for MediaPortal? Is it required to run any Media Center program on XP.

I read awhile ago on the Hauppauge boards, the correct version for SP3 to fix the DVB issues is 6.5.2600.5512. A few people had issues with tuning and playback, etc, and that's the verison that was needed to fix the issue (which it did).

I checked my System 32 folder, and this is indeed the version I have (6.5.2600.5512). Can anyone verify this is the correct version? I have no interst in overwriting the file before I know what's what. The fact it supposedly will not fix, but this dvbfix folder has to be left alone, leaves me more weary.

I am running an OEM copy of XP Service Pack 3, installed last fall. All the updated and hotfixes from MS should be up to date.

Are the files required by the patch different, or is my .dll up to snuff? Also, is this fix only for the dvb issue with MediaPortal, or does it apply to other PVR software too (I won't mention names:)) I'm installing more than one just for the fun of it (I know I can't run 2 at the same time, it's just to compare), and want to make sure this doesn't screw up the system for anything else. I have no interest it re-installing anything due to a screw up.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and answer my questions:)

ATSC and NA-sat support is a problem in general because for reasons we do not know, no developer from the US is interested in helping to get rid of the remaining issues. (I am wondering for a long time if US devs are not interested in open source. ;) )
So all the support we have has been developed "in the dark" by our european devs.

The general requirement is that you have to install this hotfix from the first post if you are using WindowsXP. Otherwise MP will always remind you that your PsisDecd is too old.
But even then i can not tell you how well ATSC will work.
    :sorry:

    :sorry:

The issues with ASTC and NA-sat support, are those with the new TV-Server or the old TV Engine 2? If I remember right, you can't get HD with the old TV Server 2 engine, correct? What kind of issues should I be looking for.

Do you have any idea of the PsisDecd.dll version the hotfix installs? I had no idea ATSC might not work well when I started looking into MediaPortal *what a bummer*

Hopefully, a NA programer helps out. I can't program. All I could do it use it and tell you what issues I'm having with ATSC.

I can install the hotfix after MediaPortal is installed, correct? That way I can see if it actually effects ATSC too or only DVB.

You mentioned remaining issues. Any idea of what I should be looking for? Also, are these issues with the Stable 1.02, or with Beta 1.1.0? TV Engine 2 (can I ever get an HD ATSC signal in TV Engine), TV Server, or both? I was going to install 1.0.2 stable for now, but wasn't sure if I HAD to choose TV Server to get the HD ASTC signal. Then I came across the PsisDecd.dll issue while reading before install.

I understand if you don't know these questions, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
