Picture delay (5 Viewers)

After playing around with MP for the last days, I've noticed that the picture is delayed, not much but it is noticable when you see persons talking, compared with the sound.

Is there a solution for this?

    You need to be much more specific.

    Is this for TV or videos? Codecs? Hardware? OS?

    See: How to start a support or bugreport thread:
    1. Choose a meaningful title for your thread.
    2. Report only one problem per thread.
    3. At the moment you start a new thread in the support forums, the hardwarespecification template will be added automatically. If the template is empty, then you have not filled out your specifications in the usercp yet.
      Note: Your report MUST include a complete hardwarespecification!
    4. Add a detailed, step by step description of your problem.
    5. If your problem occurs inside MediaPortal or the configuration program, then run the "MediaPortal Logs Collector" from your Windows Start Menu (Team MediaPortal/MediaPortal) and ATTACH the exported log.zip file to your thread/post.
      Without logs it is IMPOSSIBLE for us to help you!

      To create clean and conclusive logs you should use the "MediaPortal Debug" shortcut which will start MediaPortal in a special debug mode. Then you reproduce the issue and close MediaPortal. A log.zip will be created automatically which you then attach to your thread/post
      If you are using the TV-Server and it is installed on a different PC, then you have to attach its logs by hand.
      To do that open your Windows StartMenu and click at "TV-Server Logs Folder" in Team MediaPortal/TV-Server.
      Attach all these files to your thread/post.
    6. Do NOT copy/paste your logfiles (or large parts of them) in your post.
    Please note that support threads, which are missing the required information posted above will not be processed and maybe also deleted.

    Sorry, I'm still learing...

    I'm running the latest MP (1.0.2) on Vista on an Acer Aspire Idea 510 HTPC (1.66 GHz, 1 GB). Haven't watched videos, it when I watch normal TV shows this issue appears.

    Hope this input is enough for you to notice something...

    The TV-server configuration shows me five cards; Conexant Raptor BDA Tuner, Conexant Raptor BDA Tuner, MPC718 TV Tuner 1 (AV1, AV2), MPC718 TV Tuner 2 (AV3) and th Webstream.
    Can't find the codec info...sorry. Where should I look?

    Hope you can bare with me...:)

    You can find the codec ussed when opening configuration (start -> team mediaportal -> mediaportal and probably @ desktop).

    Please try to collect your logs. Just open MP logs collector from start -> team mediaportal -> mediaportal )

    I haven't changed to default settings in MP config > Television, so they are
    MPC - MEPG-2 Video Decoder (Gabest)
    CoreAVC Video Decoder
    MPC - MPA Decoder Filter
    MONOGRAM AAC Decoder
    Default Directsound Device
    None
    Normal

    I noticed yesterday evening, that the syncronisation was better, could it depend on with channel I'm watching, if the channel is analog or digital, is the amount of RAM (1GB) sufficient för MP?

    Could anyone help me with this?

    I've added info to "My system" if that could be of any help? it's very anoying to have the picture delayed, and not syncronized to the sound...
