You're digging up an old thread here, but just to put it to rest ... MediaPortal 2 will get Picture-in-Picture eventually, but MP1 will most likely never get Picture-in-Picture.

    That is all.

    Cheers,

oh come one....I can see another use other the TV Channels and movies. It could be used to display external security cameras that streamed across the network. When motion detected automatically popped up to show motion in small potion of screen. I am hanging on PIP for this reason only. Who watches 2 channels at once....really :)

Well the people that are asking for added features in MP1 should realize it is in feature freeze - no new features to be added.

At the moment I'm using MediaPortal and TV server to watch Portugal vs. Switzerland... AND Turkey v.s. the Tsjech Republic. Both European Football (Soccer for you Americans) Cup matches are on at the same time, and I'm zapping back and forth like a frantic rabbit.

At the moment I would LOVE PIP.

I would like PIP too especially for comercial breaks but I will wait for it (I guess thats my only option anyway:D)

P.s. Great matches yesterday, I watched on 2 TV´s so I didn´t miss anything. To bad for Switzerland their victory was useless for them.

    :D !!
I can't believe people can say it will never be used!?
I miss it like hell every day and is a real miss of MP, everybody who claims otherwise either never watches sports or has like a 14" tv. :D
I can't imagine you don't miss it when you love sports or have a big screen tv.

Easy answer to PIP, do what i do, have MP running with what i'm watching and my Freeview TV supports PIP anywhere on screen whilst in HDMI, so i can watch both :)

Digital tv's a must have, record 2+ channels whilst watching a third.

Yes, cheating i know, but you get the picture, or rather more to the point don't ;)

Can anyone tell me the step-by-step procedure for bringing up a second channel in pip mode? I can only do it sometimes, after many tries, and it’s not clear what I am doing that makes it work on those occasions when it does. Cannot find guidance on the site. Thanks, N. Again, if anyone knows how to do this, would be much...

Hi This is a general question about OnX. I have been using the TvWishList plugin for a while and have recently updated (update install) from MP 1.36 x86 to 1.37 x86 and found there seemed to be no Onx menu in the TV guide. I then configured the onx.presets.xml file like I would normally do with updates or fresh installs, but still...
