Thanks a ton for this plugin. I´ve installed it on mp1.02. Works like a charm so far. Noticed that, as other people have said, that the new VLC does not work okey. I´ve downloaded the last 0.8xxx then everything is okey.

Just one question. Does anyone have and size tip for the nokia 5800. I would like the tv to strech over the whole screen per default.

lordarcane,

For N5800 try resolution 400x240, atleast one of my friend is using that and it's looking perfect :)

lordarcane,
You can use the native resolution 640x360, but you have to use mp4 16X9 (non AVC). Mp4 is nice because it fills the screen, but has severe macroblocks. Unfortunately the 5800 only supports QVGA 320x240 for AVC. Really sad, because you can see how much better AVC is on transcoding to low bitrates, hardly any macroblocks. Looks great on non HD channels, but of course squeezes HD channels to 4:3. Which is why I asked manniainen if it was possible to change aspect ratio during live stream via Video Center.

audball,

You can get even bit higher resolution for AVC in N5800 than QVGA 320x240, try that 400x240. That seems to be maximum.

About live streaming aspect ratio, there is no solution where to read automatically what apect ratio should be used.

What about this kind of work around, set for 3g and wlan profiles same bit rate / resolution but different aspect ratio. And based on what aspect ratio you want to use, open web ui with browser (or via link in video center) and change different profile in use?

Sorry 400x240 for AVC does not work for either aspect ratio. It plays audio fine but I get horizontal lines all over the screen on my North American 5800. It plays fine on remote laptop with VLC. Hopefully someone can prove me wrong.

I got a problem with steaming ...
At home everything works fine over wifi. When i want to stream over 3g it doesnt work anymore. 'RTSP External IP' works well to. Ports 8554 and 5050 is set too. What could be the problem ?

optx,

If you visit some other wlan friend etc, does streaming / web UI work from there? if not, then some firewall / NAT / portforwarding issue.

Second thing, you can use something else streaming service with your phone?
so that your sim has data services activated and streaming is working in phone?

Thing is this :
I have lots of friends / places where i can use wifi. 3G was not reachable at my hometown till now. Last time i had some same poblems and you told me to open the ports in the firewall and it worked. Now i want to use the new version of piiptv and had a old mediaportal version, so i updated it to make it work. But now (ports are still opend and the firewall is forwarting) it doesn't work anymore. Im trying to reinstall it all to see what happens. Even the wifi @ friends or their mobile did not work :(

reinstall didnt help....
forgot to tell that other stuff (like watching youtube vids) runs well on my phone.
what do i have to choose in 'TVsevers' in mediaportal ? I can choose 4 different IP's. one is the 192.168.100 (took that) others look like IPv6. When i take the one that matches my IPv6 i cant use mediaportal anymore. There is a longer one that was set and worked so i dont know whats the right one.

Found something that worked... I have fixed ip on my pc. I changed the fixed one (192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.105) and changed also the settings in my router firewall. And it worked from the beginning. Dont know whats the problem, i just changed numbers from 100 to 105 and thats all. Now im on the newest Version ^^
