I would also welcome a button like that. Currently I need to create a playlist to play all videos.

Would be a nice feature, XBMC does this by default so would be nice to have same functionality in MP, just press play an it autoplays files within a directory in order

Yes, good suggestion. Much like the music section. I think that is already working like that.

yes highlight a directory, press play - starts playing everything: (should include a shuffle on/off in config - so to auto shuffle before play or not).

Please make mediaportal understand that playing "movie [1of2].avi" should resume with "movie[2of2].avi"
    also accept formats like (1-2)

I was about to make a post about this, but am glad other people are requesting it as well!

It would be so great to be able to just press 'play' for a directory and either play everything in order or shuffled.
Amazing work all around!! I recommend MP to everyone I know building a htpc :D

I'm new to MediaPortal but I was actually looking for this functionality too and it still doesn't seem to work? Am I missing something or is playing all media files in a folder still not possible without making a playlist?

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...
