I'm working on a "native" Spotify plugin based on #Spot.

Currently it has support for:
Searching (tracks, albums and artists)
Browsing (albums and artists)
Playlists (view, modify, create, delete)
Cover art
Blue3 skin only

If anyone is interested in helping out with some beta testing please let me know.

Cheers

Thanks all for showing interest in this!

I have uploaded an initial alpha version to SourceForge: Browse spotymp Files on SourceForge.net

Supported skins: Blue3 and Blue3wide

Known issues:

Trying to browse "Various Artists" is a bad idea, so don't try it

Playback seems to stop in the middle of some songs when preferred sample rate is set to 320KHz

Fullscreen visualization always exits when playback of a song ends

The back button is not behaving exactly as expected

Good luck!

First problem. As you may have noticed, Spotify launched a new version of its client yesterday.
Any time I try to log in to your plugin, I get the fl=ollowing message : "Client upgrarde required : http://upgrade.spotify.com"

(I already have the latest version installed on my HTPC)

btw, what should I do with he license directory that comes with your rar file?

Hmm.

Yeah I noticed that a couple of days ago yes, but I thought it was taken care of.

If you start the real spotify client and click Help/About Spotify it should give you a revision number.

For me it says 65324. This number should match the one in the plugin configuration dialog.

Does it?

You don't have to do anything with the license directory, it's simply a copy of the licenses from SharpSpot and all its dependencies.
