Plugin ID? (1 Viewer)

I've asked for that before and stated at the same time that some organization of these ID's would be useful..there is a page in the wiki (http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/SkinArchitecture/window_id_plugin?highlight=(plugin)|(ID)) containing some ID's, but it's been abandoned a long time ago

Ok, I'm cool with that.
But how come that the only way to get my plugin to start is if I set it to 5678 as in the guide. If I change it (in the skin file and the 2 places in the pluginsource) it doesn't start up. It's in the plugin list but when I start it I just get returned to the plugin page again? Did I miss something?
Nevermind that. I obviously suck at choosing numbers.
