Should it really say address 0.0.0.0? But I guess it's the local ipv4 address that I use anyway.
Why should I put zero in there and not a fixed port, e.g. the same default that MPExt. uses?

Yes. It just means the MP Server binds to all IP adresses on that computer, if I'm not wrong.

You should put a fixed port in there. The default is 0 and 0 means MP2-Server is selecting a random port at every startup.

So if you don't want to look up the port everytime, change that setting :)
It is a MP2-Server setting, and not a setting of my plugin.

What version of MP2 are you running? @MJGraf had a fix which always writes the config files to disk, not sure if it's been merged in yet

I used the Summer 2015 release update 1.
Try it on the computer where the Server is running with 127.0.0.1:62808

Think I use the same MP2 version, 2015 release update 1.

Strange, this works when using Firefox in the VM Windows 7 where MP2 is installed:
    http://127.0.0.1:62808/MPExtended/MediaAccessService/json/GetServiceDescription
    http://192.168.1.88:62808/MPExtended/MediaAccessService/json/GetServiceDescription

    Results in:
    {"ApiVersion":4,"ServiceVersion":"0.4.99.1","AvailableMovieLibraries":[{"Name":"MP MyVideo","Version":"0.4.99.1","Id":7}],"AvailableMusicLibraries":[{"Name":"MP MyMusic","Version":"0.4.99.1","Id":4}],"AvailablePictureLibraries":[{"Name":"MP Picture Shares","Version":"0.4.99.1","Id":8}],"AvailableTvShowLibraries":[{"Name":"MP-TVSeries","Version":"0.4.99.1","Id":6}],"AvailableFileSystemLibraries":[{"Name":"MP Movie Shares","Version":"0.4.99.1","Id":10},{"Name":"MP Picture Shares","Version":"0.4.99.1","Id":11},{"Name":"MP Shares","Version":"0.4.99.1","Id":5},{"Name":"MP Music Shares","Version":"0.4.99.1","Id":9}],"DefaultMovieLibrary":0,"DefaultMusicLibrary":4,"DefaultPictureLibrary":0,"DefaultTvShowLibrary":6,"DefaultFileSystemLibrary":5}

But not in Chrome in OSX, that is the host of the Parallells Windows 7 VM. I don't have any problems when e.g. running MPExt from Chrome OSX:
    http://192.168.1.88:4322/MPExtended/MediaAccessService/json/GetServiceDescription

I think the probelm is how the virtual network adapter is connected to your real network.
I had a similar problem, but the other way around. I run my Android VM in Bridged mode.

Will check that later, but MPExt1 on the same setup has no problem.

So both VM's have the same IP? If you use bidge mode the VM will get it's own IP.
But as I said I had the same probelm with android and bubble UPnP not seeing my ContentDirectories.
