Are you talking that Mp have no plugins for Series/Movies management? 
And on topic: Currently Mptv-series/Trakt have mpNZB integration. You can search nzb for series/movies from every trakt plugin screen. MP-TVSeries supports nzb search too.
Maybe even better will be after Trakt will support search in GUI so i.e. you could add some series to watchlilist and search nzb for it after that.
So what's the problem?

I mean Trakt plugin for Mediaportal ofc. Both MP-TVSeries and Trakt plugin work the same. Press f9 (info) button and if you have mpNZB installed you will see "searchNZB" item there.

You can always try, select any window, turn off the Media Portal, change the ID of the selected one to the desired one (plugin) and check.

Fixes:
Summary / Overview was always empty
Collections were not filtered to official ones
Studios were not populated
Fallback to english tagline didn't work
