I noticed that you committed to svn just a moment ago. Is there going to be a new version of subcentral out soon?

I don't think there will be a new version of SubCentral any time soon since there are no major issues known and new features are on hold.
You can update the SubtitleDownloader by just replacing the old SubtitleDownloader.dll with new one in Mediaportal installation folder.

No matter what movie I try to get subtitles for the result is always 0.

Maybe the server is/was too busy when you tried to authenticate.
I occasionally run into that too, also with the opensubtitles api I regularly get 429's... there isn't much that can be done about it, except making sure the software isn't hammering the service and having patience...
