A few people in this thread are aware that a hammer isn't the only method of cracking a nut. For this reason I would love for this thread to continue on a constructive basis with a possible outcome. However...

I would love to see this thread closed down because leo212's repeated criticisim of the decision to use Microsoft products and technologies is really started to grind. If you don't like it, lump it!!!

This thread is now 9 pages long, and 90% of all posts are not worth to be read.


For the Idea of porting MediaPortal to any other Operating System:
- would like to see that idea developed further in a thread that is not compromised by the usual whining posts
- i hope to see some ppl to group together and get started with this idea

I'm really regretting closing a thread since this goes against my beliefs
But if people do nothing else then whining/ranting and insulting others
then you guys leave me no other choice.
You have been warned several times and still you continue about
linux/windows wars etc etc. so I hope onkl & leo212 see they caused this
themselves.

Too bad since i guess lots of users would be interestted to discuss
a port of MP or the tvserver to linux/macos.
