AW: Re: PowerScheduler++ 1.2.1.2 - Stable version for MediaPortal 1.2.1 FINAL

Hi, i am using this plugin on my Zotac Next Gen ION system ID41 and have issues. If i use the windows start=>sleep i can resume the system by remote or keyboard, but if i use the Mediaportal Sleep within the powerscheduler plugin (or the suspend on the former powerscheduler) the system hangs in some strange sleep/hibernation mode i cannot get it out. I have to press on/off button for 4 seconds to turn it off and then press it again to restart te system.
Can anybody relate to my issue? And how is Mediaportal Powerscheduler Sleep different from the Windows Sleep?
It would be helpful if you sent logs covering the time PowerScheduler(++) suspends you system.

    Hi Michael,

    Sorry, but forget about my issue. I have an usb Logitech K400 keyboard and usb IR Receiver attached. Sleep/Hibernate and Shutdown problems in both Windows and with PowerScheduler. No difference between them. System just hangs and is not reachable or pingable, no picture and only 4 seconds on/off button helps to shut it down/reboot it.
    Unplugged the keyboard and all problems are gone, looks like they bite each other.

    hey, i tried the original powerscheduler and switch to the powerscheduler++ because i need the reboot option.
    with powerscheduler everything worked fine (epg, standby, resume).

    with powerscheduler++ not.
    the htpc dosnt resume from standby for grabbing epg and reboot.

    why?

    ...

    Hi,
    you don't need ps++ for reboot. You can also run a script over the scheduller from Windows (German: "Aufgabenplanung").

    Example for such a script:

    Script name 'Auto-Reboot.cmd' (for example)
    Code:
    @echo off

    set logfile="C:\Logfile.log"

    echo [%date% - %time%] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Auto-Reboot - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ->>%logfile%
    echo.>>%logfile%

    shutdown.exe -r -f -t 10

    Regards

    You can try a reinstallation of MediaPortal.

    Or copy the attached PowerSheduler.dll in your \MediaPortal TV Server\plugin folder. (This file is from my MP1.2.1 installation)

    Good luck

    which part of the logs do you need?
    the reboot option can i handle with AUFGABENPLANUNG
    thanks to TESTUDO

    but i need of course the resume-option for grabbing epg.

    the alternative were to bring back the normal powerscheduler.
    but this dosnt work, also with your dll TESTUDO :-(

    Re: PowerScheduler++ 1.2.1.2 - Stable version for MediaPortal 1.2.1 FINAL

    Hi

    I've got some special question concerning my network.

    Is it possible to configure PowerScheduler so that the system only goes to standby when all client pcs are switched off (or in standby)?

    I want to use my htpc server as data server and this functionality would be really great.

    I'll would use it like this:
    1) Always when a client pc is started Eventghost sends a wake on lan command to the server => it starts
    2) After this the tv server should not shutdown before all clients are shutdown.
    3) The user has the possibility to use the server shares like normal hdds on his system.

    Thx 4 ur help.

    Could you please advise: I want my single-set to reboot after wakeup from standby(hybrid). What should I enter. I entered shutdown.exe /r /f /t 0 but this is not working out.

    Thanks
