I am very confused...
I had a look at your remote client's logs and examined the system event logs to see, when there was a reboot. But there is no reboot in the last days at 05:45; only a wakeup.
The following power activities (boots / sleeps / wakeups) happened on the left system during the last days:
Code:
Boot 2012-10-29 08:47:50
Sleep 2012-10-29 09:58:43 Sleep Reason: 7
Wake 2012-10-29 10:00:21 Wake Source: 1
Sleep 2012-10-29 10:47:44 Sleep Reason: 0
Wake 2012-10-30 05:44:02 Wake Source: 0
      2012-10-30 05:44:11 MP client starts
Sleep 2012-10-30 05:45:58 Sleep Reason: 7
Wake 2012-10-30 13:36:57 Wake Source: 1
      2012-10-30 13:37:04 MP client starts
Right system:
Code:
Boot 2012-10-29 09:15:44
Sleep 2012-10-29 10:38:45 Sleep Reason: 0
Wake 2012-10-29 10:46:35 Wake Source: 1
Sleep 2012-10-29 11:52:59 Sleep Reason: 4
Wake 2012-10-29 21:28:55 Wake Source: 4Intel(R) ICH10 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 3A64
Sleep 2012-10-29 23:04:27 Sleep Reason: 0
Wake 2012-10-30 05:44:02 Wake Source: 0
Sleep 2012-10-30 07:28:54 Sleep Reason: 0
Wake 2012-10-30 07:29:06 Wake Source: 4Intel(R) ICH10 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 3A64
Sleep 2012-10-30 07:31:35 Sleep Reason: 0
Wake 2012-10-30 07:32:04 Wake Source: 0
2012-10-30 07:32:09 MP client starts and plays media until ...
Sleep 2012-10-30 08:06:51 Sleep Reason: 0
Wake 2012-10-30 13:37:05 Wake Source: 1
2012-10-30 07:32:09 MP client starts and plays media
There was no (re)boot since 2012-10-29 08:47:50 / 2012-10-29 09:15:44. To find out why your systems wake up and sleep you must look online into the system event logs; the codes are not translated in the csv log files. But one thing is sure: if the wakeup was scheduled by PS++ there must be a wake source description with something like "wake timer" and "tvservice.exe".

What is strange is that your MP client software is not running continuosly. Do you close it when you finish playing media? If so, there cannot be a reboot at the time scheduled, because the reboot is triggered by the PS++ client plugin of the MP client. So the MP client should run all the time if you use your remote clients as MP appliances. If not, you cannot use MP for scheduled reboot - you should use the system's scheduled tasks instead.

    Hi.
Is it possible that with new Version 1.2.3.5 the HTPC did not wake up "completely" to do scheduled recordings? If "Away Mode" is used, please add an option to disable this, please... My old (and buggy) system did not work proper on away mode. Sometimes the tuner card did not wake up at all, so no recordings are happen. On about 90% there only is one (out of two) Tuners available when HTPC is in Away mode. Or if I want to use the HTPC during an scheduled recording the TV Server crashes and the recording is interrupted. Other thing happened is a bluescreen when I want to leave this away mode.

I think with 1.2.3.4 the HTPC wakes up normally to do a record. I will now change back to 1.2.3.4 to test if it's really about new PS++... I will tell when I got news here.

What do you mean by this? What symtoms do you have? I did not change anything related to sleep and wakeup in the 1.2.3.5 version.
If "Away Mode" is used, please add an option to disable this, please... My old (and buggy) system did not work proper on away mode.
When there is a user action that would lead to sleep mode (power off button, closing notebook lid, remote off button, ...) and away mode is enabled, the system does not go to sleep but keeps running (S0) and just disables display and audio. This is called away mode. So from the technical point of view away mode is nothing else than S0 mode, i.e. your hardware does not see any difference between away mode and regular operation. The only difference is that the operating system mutes the sound and turns off the display until there is any user activity (then display and audio are enabled again) or the system becomes idle (then it enters sleep mode after the idle timeout). Therefore there are absolutely no hardware requirements for using away mode. You can read all details about away mode here.
Other thing happened is a bluescreen when I want to leave this away mode.
Away mode can only be entered from run mode, not while resuming from sleep mode. At the moment your system wakes up automatically (i.e. without user intervention) from sleep mode, display and audio are also disabled until there is any user activity, but this is not(!) away mode, though it looks similar. Even if you disable away mode completely for your PC, this behaviour will not change. So if you experience a blue screen in this situation, you should check your hard- and software.

    Hi.
    What symtoms do you have?
When the HTPC is asleep and should wake up to do a scheduled recording, Windows did not wake up completely. Monitor don't get signal, Audio is muted, hibernate trigger did not start, all other scheduled tasks at resume time are not running,... That's why I thought the HTPC went to "away mode" right after resume from standby (S3). This is reproducible 100%.

Due to some hardware issues (really old hardware used, but no money for newer one available) I need to restart TVServer after standby as If I don't Tuners are not available, USB drives are disconnected,... So that's why I use tools like HibernateTrigger. Most of the time there is a single tuner that will work without restart of TV server, so often nothing bad happens. But if I do some user action (like start MP by remote or do some inputs) then all Resume- scheduled tasks will run. Restart of TV Server is one of them. If this happens during a scheduled recording, this is not really nice...I've lost some recordings lately due to this...
BTW this is with tasks running through PS++ itself also (execute program on Standby/Resume)...

This seems to be happen since I've upgraded to 1.2.3.5 but I can't proof this right now (did not find time to downgrade)... And if I woke up the HTPC by WOL this never did happen, only if its a scheduled wake up...

Hope you understand my problem now. If not we need to talk in German as my english is not the best...

    Hi

I have updated the plug in PowerScheduler++ 1.2.3.5. But I have troubleshootings with it.

First, if I want to record 2 tvshows following each other, the first show will be recorded, but the second won't, The htpc will enter in stanby mode after the end of the first recording.

Second, I want my htpc to go to stanby mode after 5min idle. Powerscheduler++ doesn't respect my setting. The plug in puts my htpc in standby mode after only 3 min idle . If I change the value 5 into 7min for exemple : same problem.

Third, I want my htpc to reboot every monday at 6:30am. So It wakes up but after 3 min it goes back to stand by mode, so no reboot.

I didn't have these problems with older version.

    I uninstalled PowerScheduler++ 1.2.3.5 and I use the MediaPortal Powerscheduler . I don't have these troubleshootings.

my system: Win seven 64b, MP1.2.3

    Hi,

just looking at my tv server "error.log" and I found this line every ~ 15 sec.:
    Code:
2012-11-07 23:37:29.366211 [PS StandbyWakeup(13)]: NetworkMonitorHandler: Exception in updating adapter Reusable ISATAP Interface {9C5E8F27-5E81-402B-8550-49709A4FB87E}: Instanz Reusable ISATAP Interface {9C5E8F27-5E81-402B-8550-49709A4FB87E} ist in der angegebenen Kategorie nicht vorhanden.

    Anybody knows what this mean?

I'm having the same problem where my PC wakes up for a scheduled recording so I switch the TV on (or over from my Xbox) and the screen is blank and pressing the remote buttons doesn't bring it to life. I have to get up and move my mouse to wake it. Is there a way to change this as it's rather a pain?
