...But after 3min idle, my htpc went back to standby (without reboot)...
I just saw that I sent you a wrong version of PS++ which did not correct the issue reported by you. I am very sorry about that. Please try the version provided with this post. It will show you also why your system will not go to standby after the epg grabbing (in the logs and in real time in the server config tool).

Hi,

Unfortunately PowerSchdeuler++ does not put my HTPC to sleep at all. I have started MediaPortal and done nothing at all but although sleep time is set to 5 minutes nothing happens:

PS++.png

I suppose it might be a problem that it says "Standby handled by Windows" but I don't know how to turn this off. Also I don't know why "SetupTV" is an active process. Server and MediaPortal Config were closed.
Logs are attached.

Thank you!!

Why don't you use "Plug&Play" mode unless you know exactly what the various options in the PS++ config are meaning? Please activate "Plug&Play" mode and see if the problems are still there. If your PC does not go to standby then, call "powercfg /requests" as administrator and see what is preventing standby.

Michael

PS: There is a PS++ wiki with full explanation on how it works, how to configure it and how to troubleshoot it.

Hi,

thank you very much for your reply.

I had chosen plug&play and switched on expert mode to check what plug&play had done. However, I checked only plug&play now and again it didn't go to Standby. The command prompt shows that it is the TVService.exe which prevents Standby although I didn't start LiveTV (new log attached).

According to the logs it is the EPG grabbing that prevents standby.
EPG grabbing can take quite a while depending on the EPG configuration in the TV Server config. If you do not want to have EPG grabbing block your PC you should uncheck the "No standby while EPG grabbing" option in the PS++ EPG tab (should be available also in Plug&Play mode). But this means that EPG grabbing might not work since it has not enough time to complete before standby...

Ok, thank you very much! I could not find the option in Plug&Play mode. Was my assumption correct that I can switch to expert mode and keep the Plug & Play options as long as I don't change anything?

    Hi Michael_t

I installed and tested your new PS++ 1.2.3.7.
    Here is the tv.log

About the reboot: My htpc woke up at 12:00 and reboot!!! yes!!! but it didn't go back to standby after 5mn idle.
I noted something strange. My desktop pc and my htpc were connected at the same time on my network (lan ethernet).
At 12:27 (htpc still running) I stopped my desktop pc and 2 or 3 min later, my htpc went back to standby too. I made a second test by unplugging the htpc network plug and it went back to standby mode.

About the wake up for grabbing epg, my htpc woke up at 13:00 but after 3 min idle, it went back to standby mode (too short to grab).
