Hello,
PowerScheduler++ has significantly improved the resume/standby feature of my MP. I expected the upgrade to MP 1.4 to fix my last issue but it doesn't :cautious: .

My PowerScheduler++ is not able to put my HTPC to sleep after 5 minutes, as it is supposed to.
But when sending an 'Off' command through my IRtrans remote, the computer goes to sleep instantly and normally as it should.
The TVService.log seems to report some activity before the 5 minutes are ellapsed (see the log starting at [2013-07-21 18:01:13,375]): can someboby tell me how can I identify that 'activity' (POWERCFG -REQUESTS does not report any driver other than TVService preventing standby) ? My Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard are Off, VNC is disconnected, there is no network activity... I miss ideas!

It looks I have this behaviour since I switched from WinXP+MP1.2 to Win7+MP1.3 (but there were so many other issues on resume at that time: standby issues are less impacting than resume issues, especially for recordings:eek:)

Thank you in advance for helping me in troubleshooting this.
You configured PS++ not to suspend while the "setuptv" (MP TV Server configuration) process is active...

Hi, I think it didn't work. But I receive an error message when I install the new version (attached).
Please try to reinstall PS++; the error message comes from the MPEI and I cannot do anything with it. Sometimes it is better to run the installation file from MPEI and not by double-clicking it (because then it is sure that MPEI is run as Administrator).

If some of you find difficulties to get long batch file running before standby or don't want to let running tv server when tv service is not really used, maybe this thread could help you.

    Hi there,

You could open the mpe1 with winzip and then manually rename/copy the DLL files.

    J.

    Hi @Jay_UK,

can you tell me what Files i need for the Server only?
If i copy the Powerscheduler.dll from the mpe1 File over the existing one in the Plugin Folder and restart the Server, i have no Powerschedule Plugin listed in the Server Config. Not the old one and not the new one...

Hm, even with the other File "Powerscheduler.Interfaces.dll" as second file it does not work...

If i copy the old Powerscheduler.DLL over it again i have at last the old Plugin back.

Got it. Installed Client on the Server. Now i can use mpe1 Files.

    Thanks!

Ok, I tried to install via the "Open" command from within the MPEI. I receive the message "Error in script: Could not stop tvservice". But in the end it says that PS++ has been successfully installed.
Then I receive a .NET Framework error message:

PS++ does not show in the Extensions Manager but I can configure it in the servers configuration. By the way: When I click the server config it tells me that TV service is not running and if I want to start it - although the PS++ installer said it could not stop tvservice...

I think that something is broken with your configuration. Please stop the TV service, uninstall PS++, stop the tv service and then reinstall PS++ with MPEI. If this should not work for any reason, I would recommend you to reinstall MP.

    Hi,
I have another question, did PowerScheduler++ no longer prevent the suspend if I'm currently recoding something? Because in the prious version of MP (1.2.3) with PowerScheduler++ it was prevented. So if I press the suspend button on my remote control MP makes a suspend and interrupt my recoding.
    Regards,

I have problems with my remote and Eventghost if I wake my PC by pressing a button on the remote (if I wake it by pushing the button on the PC case it seems to be OK). The obvious answer is not to press the remote to wake it but I forget sometimes and then have to vnc into the PC, close MP, kill eventghost, sometimes disconnect the remote receiver, restart eventghost and restart MP, so I'm trying to find a way to prevent this happening.

What I thought I'd try is killing eventghost before standby and launching it again after resume. Should this batch file work if I put it in the Run command on PS++'s Advanced tab?

    Code:
if "%1" == "suspend" goto OnSuspend
if "%1" == "wakeup" goto OnWakeUp
    goto Done

    :OnSuspend
    taskkill /IM “Eventghost.exe” /F
    goto Done

    :OnWakeUp
    start "" “C:\program files (x86)\Event Ghost\Eventghost.exe”
    goto Done

    :Done

    OK, that didn't work.

When I resumed my PC, MP was frozen and I had to kill it via TaskManager. Then I couldn't get it load anymore without disabling the PS++ client plugin. I'd cleared the link to the batch file from the Advanced tab but I eventually found that I had to kill TVService and restart it and now MP loads OK again.

Attached the logs from doing a Debug Launch with PS++ client plugin enabled. I eventually had to kill it as it just hung at "Loading plugins".
