I'm having trouble upgrading from 1.2.1.0 to 1.2.1.2. It says it installed correctly and went through all the installation screens for 1.2.1.2 but when I look at the version numbers in the server and the client they both still say 1.2.1.0. I have tried rebooting the system and disabling PS++ before the upgrade but it still says 1.2.1.0. Also the boot up logs for both server and client still say 1.2.1.0.

Any ideas?

I have installed the new version and its runs perfectly in my setup (XP).
However, when looking closely the version number havent changed for me either.
It still says 1.2.1.0 for me too, but since it now works and before it didn't I take that this means a new version is installed even if it don't show in the version number.

I'm having real problems getting PowerScheduler++ to work from S3 for EPG scheduled programmes...it just doesn't wake the machine.

I'm using PS1.2.1.2 with MP1.2.1 on a Windows 7 64-bit install. All the settings are, as far as I can see, the recommended ones on the Wiki.

Although Windows Media Center sleeps and wakes fine for scheduled recordings =from its EPG, MP and PS++ doesn't do the same.

So - a programme is set at 17:10 via the EPG to record from 5:30pm -> 6:00pm. The machine is then put into S3 via the remote, but never wakes for the scheduled recording. The (later) 18:22 wake-up in the above case is actually WMC waking for a recording it has to do.

PS++ clearly is doing something though. For example, if I set a programme to record just a few minutes in the future and attempt to go to S3 via the remote then it goes into away mode, as you'd expect.

As above, the relevant options seem to be set and ticked (including "Wakeup system for various events") and WMC on the same machine wakes and sleeps for recordings as you'd expect.

Any ideas? Can't think what else to try...

Unser HTPC fährt dank PowerSheduler einwandfrei zu S4 herunter. Die ersten 2 Tagen konnte HTPC offenbar automatisch hochfahren, um einige Aufgaben zu erledigen, z.B. EPC oder Record.

Allerdings klappt es seit gestern plötzlich nicht mehr, obwohl ich an Config nichts geändert habe.

Welche Einstellungsparameter im Bios ist dafür zuständig? "wakeup by ring", "wakeup by RTC", oder?

Woran liegt es nun, dass die Wakeup seit gestern nicht mehr funktioniert?

Hallo Flo,
bei diesem Thema ist Vorsicht geboten. Ich habe derzeit ein ASUS M5A88-M EVO im Einsatz . Dabei musste ich leider feststellen, dass das automatische Aufwecken nicht funktioniert, wenn im BIOS "Wake By RTC" aktiviert ist. Das muss also evtl. abgeschaltet bleiben. Zuständig für das Aufwecken ist die Option "Wake Up On PME" (Wake Up On Power Management Event) oder so ähnlich (Bin gearde nicht an diesem PC. Kann erst morgen nachschauen, falls Bedarf besteht.)

Bei "Wake Up by RTC" kann man einstellen wann der PC automatisch eingeschalten wird (vom Zustand AUS).

Ich verwende bei mir S3, weil der PC so schneller bereit ist.

Ooops - sorry about that.

This time a scheduled recording was set at 10:42AM in the EPG for "Filthy Rotten Scoundrels" on 22 11/11/2011, running 11:00AM to 11:45AM and the machine was put into S3 using the remote. The machine didn't wake though, so I woke it manually at 11:34AM.

Sorry, I should have explained it clearer: I need full logs of the whole timespan including the time when you scheduled the recording.
It would be great, if you could restart the tv service (e.g. from tv server configuration) as a first step of the test. Then start the MP client, schedule a recording and wait a while (at least 15 seconds) before you suspend your system by remote. See if it wakes up or resart it manually and send me the logs...

Hi Testudo,

ich habe auch Asus Mainboard. Nur "Power on From S5 By PME#" ist im Bios aktiviert.

Aber funktioniert es da auch mit S4 bzw. S5? Ich bevorzuge S4, da ich mehr strom sparen will.

Wie gesagt, ersten 2 Tagen hat es funktioniert. Jetzt nicht mehr! Wollte nur wissen worann es liegt?
