Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: AW: [New Plugin] PowerScheduler++ (New Version 1.2.0.8)

It seems that if the powerschedular++ is checking if it should do something it resets the windows idle time.
    (cut)
Is it normal that the powerschedular check resets the idle time of Windows? Can I prevent that?
It is the minidisplay plugin option that wil reset the windows idle time. I did a uninstall and installed again without that optional plugin and now it is working fine!:)

(I did not check the issue with the latest version 1.2.0.9! I will check soon, if you can now switch from away mode to standby after a recording. My problem is solved to.
This version had the same issue,...

But solved by removing the minidisplay option.
    Thanks for the clue, CypherMK;)

    Greatings,

AW: Re: PowerScheduler++ (New Version 1.2.0.9)

...Basically from what I can tell is happening (this is the second time it has failed to power off), is that the MePo client is closing (erroring), but the TVserver part is not shutting the system down (probably due to the fact I have "only allow shutdown if MePo client is running").
    ...
With the "only allow shutdown if MePo client is running" option the PS++server is looking for a process named "MediaPortal". Thus when your MP client crashed (and the process is no more running), the PS++ server keeps the system alive, as it was said to do...

It would be interesting to see, why your MP client crashes. I will try to reproduce this.

:oops:I have to admit that I concentrated on the main functionality and did not care much about the minidisplay option in the last time. So if people experience problems with the minidisplay option, I will drop it from PS++ with the next version.

    Im liking this plugin.
I had issues with the PS++ setting to put the pc to sleep(like I used to do with the old PS) - it kept going to sleep while recording and then freezing at resume
then I READ the instructions and used win7 power settings to do that bit and all seems to be working fine.
    I will keep testing- thanks!

I'm having the same problems with your plugin.

Sometimes MePo chashes while running TV, sometimes when resuming from standby and sometimes when I'm starting MePo.
I also think that it is caused by the Minidisplay plugin, i would by happy if you could fix that because i like this option very much (was waiting very long for that option).

    Logs are attached.

Looking at your logs I found that you have an other known problem.
    Look here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...rcompleted-argumentoutofrangeexception-91588/
    This will solve your crashes...

    Greetings Frank

    AW: PowerScheduler++ (New Version 1.2.0.9)

I found the reason for the MP client crash leading to a continuosly running HTPC (see here). It was a bug in the code that stops the player (tv, video, music, ...) when the system goes to away mode. The bug is fixed now in version 1.2.0.10.
Furthermore I removed the minidisplay option, because there were lots of errors reported with it and it is no essential part of a PowerScheduler plugin.
The new version will be released today together with a slightly modified documentation.
